    United Arab Emirates. This is a country that borders the Persian Gulf. In the 19th century the U.A.E. was called the 'Pirate Coast', because it was a notorious home of pirates.

    Rub' Al Khali. The Sahara is in Africa, the Gobi in Mongolia, and the Kzyl-Kum in Uzbekistan. Because of the Rub' Al Khali and its harsh climate, there are no official borders between Saudi Arabia and parts of Yemen, Oman, and the U.A.E.

What is the capital of Bahrain?
    Manama. Bahrain is a small country located in the Gulf of Bahrain. The Gulf of Bahrain is a small gulf located between Saudi Arabia and Qatar. That means it's also located in the Persian Gulf.

Into which body of water does the Jordan River flow?
    Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is actually a lake, and one of the lowest exposed land locations in the world. The Dead Sea is so salty, you could float in it while reading a newspaper!

Which country has land on the very tip of the Musandam Peninsula?
    Oman. Oman has a small place of land north of the United Arab Emirates, on the Musandam Peninsula. The largest city on this area of land is Khasab, which is located on the coast of the Persian Gulf. The other coast leads to the Gulf of Oman.

The Musandam Peninsula extends into the Strait of Hormuz.

What is the northernmost Palestinian occupied zone (and sometimes considered a Syrian occupied zone) in Israel?

    Dubai. The U.A.E. stands for United Arab Emirates and has a border on the Persian Gulf. The country is comprised of seven united emirates and their collective capital is Abu Dhabi.

Which of these countries does NOT have a border with Israel?
    Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia comes very close, but Jordan and the Gulf of Aqaba in the Red Sea separate the two by about 20 miles.

Which desert straddles the borders of Syria, Jordan, and Iraq?
    Syrian Desert. The Syrian Desert is the only desert here that actually exists!
