Fun Trivia: A : Australian Music

Special Sub-Topic: More Australian Hits of the 70s

'Mean Pair of Jeans' (1977)

    Marty Rhone.

'Janie May' (1977)
The Ferrets. Everyone knows The Ferrets for 'Don't Fall In Love', but not many remember this follow-up single.

'Golden Miles' (1971)
Healing Force. Made the top 10 in 1971.

'Nothing Stays the Same Forever' (1977)
    Hush. Another sadly neglected classic.

'All Our Favourite Songs' (1971)
    Kevin Johnson.

'Baby Blue' (1974)
Jimmy Little. A big comeback song for a great singer.

'Let It Slide' (1976)
    Max Merritt and the Meteors.

'Reach Out' (1970)
Gene Pierson. A cover of the old Four Tops hit, but a classic piece of psychedelia.

'Roly Poly' (1972)
S.C.R.A.. Who could forget the Southern Contemporary Rock Assembly?

'Green' (1974)
Denise Drysdale. Remember Kermit the Frog's 'It's not easy being green'? Denise (Ding Dong) Drysdale did a great version.

'The Prophet' (1971)
Ronnie Burns. Not a big seller for Ronnie, and an obvious rip-off of 'My Sweet Lord', but a good song nevertheless.

'How Long?' (1978)
Scandal. Basically a one-hit wonder group.

'Primal Park' (1979)
    Mondo Rock.

'Wind and Rain' (1973)
Bluestone. A great Country Rock song. Whatever happened to them?

'A Boy From the Stars' (1975)
Jim Keays. I personally preferred Jim's work with the Masters' Apprentices, but...
