Fun Trivia: P : Punk Rock

Special Sub-Topic: More Than Blink

Which band is defined as 'East Bay Hard Core'?

AFI. Not that too many Hard Core fans define AFI as such.

'She's a devil with an angel's face I've been told.' is a lyric for which band?
    Strung Out.

'No more feeling sorry, no more getting mad. Yeah right you've got the answer.'
Ten Foot Pole. 'Never Look Back' it's a good song, and I don't know why I keep using 'pretty boy punk' bands for the other options.

'I'm sorry, I'm waiting, I won't mess up again. I'll find you, where- ever, you are for now and ever. The bus stop or museum, I'll hunt you down to be in your arms. Now tell me that you'll never leave.'
The Gamits. All the bands listed are actually from Colorado.

And now for a really tough one. Which band was the band known as ECP in SLC Punk?
The Eight Bucks Experiment, Colorado. Mostly comprised of the O'Meara brothers. And yes, their dad owns O'Meara Ford in Denver.

Which bands' members are from Colorado?
    Descendents, Seraphim Shock, Contender.

'Romeo and Juliet are together in eternity.'
    Blue Oyster Cult.

'All we need is, all we need is, all we need is, all we need is, all we need is, all we need is, all we need is....is a punch in the face!'
Frenzal Rhomb. Started listening to this band because of my ex-boyfriend.

'Indecision, Television, takes my mind away! Growing stronger, how much longer will things be this way?'
    Good Riddance. On 'United Cigar'.

'Did you believe, we could take it away?'
Guy Smiley. I had never heard of Guy Smiley or Trigger Happy until I had started hanging out with Scott. This lyric is from 'the Canadian Way'.

'Yum, Yum, Bumblebee, Bumblebee tuna, I love Bumblebee, Bumblebee tuna.'
Mephaskapheles. Alright, it's the only ska question, and it's an annoying song but I have it stuck in my head.

Which album is by Good Riddance?
'A Comprehensive Guide to a Modern Rebellion'. 'Do or Die'= Dropkick Murphys, 'Hopeless Romantic'=Bouncing Souls, 'The Art of Drowning'= AFI.

'I'm a very kind man, I do the best I can. I play my game, and I'm surely not insane.'
Not Available. I've never heard of this band, but it's one of my friend's favorite bands, and I must admit they are really good. He heard of them off of a compilation CD he bought in Germany.

'Gonna Scream!' and 'The New Beat!'
Refused. 'New Noise'. And has anybody else heard something other than "the new beat" at the end of the song--i've heard "side show pete" "jujubees" and knew one guy who insisted it sounded like "sudafed."

'I'm caught in the twisting of the vine. Go ascend with ivy climbing. Ignore, and leave for me, the headstone crumbling behind.'
AFI. 'God called in sick today.' Please don't say that you answered Blink 182!

'I've got something to say. I raped your mother today, and it doesn't matter much to me, as long as she's spread. Sweet lovely death, I've been waiting for your breath. Let me take one last caress.'
    The Misfits.

'It sucks outside in the pouring rain, I'll smoke some pot, fry my brain.'
Bouncing Souls. 'Monday morning ant brigade' on 'Hopeless Romantic'.

'Punk rock jock, punk rock jock!'
    Assorted Jellybeans. 'Punk Rock Jock.'

'Last night, I had a dream, that we went to Disney Land. Went on the rides, didn't have to wait in line. I drove you to your house, where we stared up at the stars. I listened to your heartbeat as I held you in my arms.'
    Ataris.

'Candied apples and razorblades. Little dead are soon in graves. I remember Halloween!'
Misfits. Sorry, kinda a trick question, but the Misfits did 'Halloween' and 'Last Caress' first. (AFI also did it.)
