    The Jenny Haniver. The ship belongs to Anna Fang, but Tom and Hester inherit it.

    Thaddeus Valentine. A huge light dazzles Anna, then Valentine cuts her down. The last thing she can remember is Tom bending over her, saying "It's not fair, he waited until you were dazzled!"
