    Barry Sanders. Sanders played limited duty in the first two games of the season, then became unstoppable. He rushed for 2053 yards in the season, and retired with 15,269 over 10 seasons. Barry also had 99 rushing touchdowns.

Which Cowboy defensive end retired in 1979 to become a professional boxer?
    Ed 'Too Tall' Jones. The big Jones fought six times, all against no-name boxers. He retired from boxing and came back to the Cowboys in 1980 and played for 10 more seasons. His three Pro Bowl selections came after his return to the Cowboys.

This tight end played for 16 seasons in the NFL. 15 saw him as a St. Louis Cardinal, and his final as a Dallas Cowboy. He had a great career, but dropping one Cowboy pass in the Super Bowl seemed overshadow it all. Who was this tight end great?
    Jackie Smith. The others were all defensive linemen. The Cowboys went 12-4 in 1978, and went all the way to the Super Bowl against the Steelers. Smith dropped a sure touchdown pass, and the Cowboys lost to the Steelers, 35-31. Smith caught 480 passes with 40 career touchdowns.

1968 saw the final season of this Cowboy quarterback. In his final season he was second in passing yardage, and led Dallas to a 12-2 record. Who was this who wore the number 17 on his back?
    Don Merideth. The Cowboys went out early in the playoffs, losing to the Browns in the Division Playoff, 31-20.

    Earl Morrall. Morrall led the Colts to a 13-1 record with his 2909 passing yards and 26 touchdowns. The Colts lost to the Jets in the Super Bowl, 16-7.

Who was the first person to be inducted into both the NFL and Major League baseball Hall of Fame?
    Cal Hubbard. Hubbard was an offensive lineman with New York and Green Bay in the 1920s and 1930s, playing on four championship teams. He was also an umpire in the Major Leagues.

Who was the first head coach to win four Super Bowls?
    Chuck Noll. Noll was top dog of the Pittsburgh Steelers. With the arm of Terry Bradshaw, the legs of Franco Harris, and the Steel Curtain of Pittsburgh, the team ruled the 1970s. They defeated the Vikings, the Cowboys twice, and the Rams of Los Angeles.

Which St. Louis Ram rookie quarterback set a record in 1996 for his 21 fumbles in the season?
    Tony Banks. Banks was a rookie in 1996, and this didn't fare too well with head coach Rich Brooks. Banks came back in 1997 with a career high 3254 passing yards, but the Rams still finished 5-11.

Who was the first NFL team by name from the west coast?
    Los Angeles Buccaneers. The season was 1926, and strangely enough, the Buccaneers played all their games on the road. They were owned by a corporation in Chicago, but still used all California players. In their only season of existence, they had a 6-3-1 record for a sixth place finish.
