Y. To Sergeant Duffy, the apparent reason for which no one in the group requested a lawyer was because they felt they were very close and would not say anything that could hurt any of them. Niki tries to clear out that she also has friends that would do anything for her, but then feels compromised. She changes the topic by agreeing with Sergeant Duffy's statement.

All of these (Bad reviews, Press, Criticism). Apparently Niki was afraid of the negative publicity the film could draw to her, so by hiding it at Jenny's attic, she would be safe of having to worry about bad reviews, or deal with the press and the criticism.

Y. Towards the end, and in tears, Niki confessed that she hoped that if the negatives were ever found in the attic Jenny would get what she deserved for having treated her the way she did throughout their relationship.
