    Estoril. There is evidence of human occupation of the Estoril, Cascais area from about 4000 years ago, when it is thought, neolithic peoples lived in caves nearby.

    Ennis. The O'Briens of Thromond moved from Limerick and built a castle in Clonroad, Ennis in the early part of the thirteenth century, subsquently the town of Ennis grew around it.

    Eastbourne. Located in East Sussex, Eastbourne is nestled amid the famous chalk cliffs of coastal England. Beachy Head, one of the cliffs, is a popular romantic spot, but more sinisterly, it is also a popular suicide spot.

    Essen. The city of Essen was heavily bombed during World War II, as a result it is mostly built in a modern style.
