When is it legal to turn right after stopping at a red light?

When there isn't sign posted at the intersection forbidding right turns on red AND you've come to a complete stop and allowed all crossing traffic and all pedestrians to go through the intersection.. You also must be able to clearly see that the turn can be done safely.

Under what circumstances is it legal to make a left turn after stopping at a red light?

When there is no sign posted which forbids left turns on red AND the turn is made from the extreme left lane of a one-way street to the extreme left lane of another one-way street.. It's illegal to turn left on red except from one, one-way street to another. When making a left turn on red you need to come to a complete stop and allow all crossing traffic and all pedestrians to go through the intersection before you go.

How many feet before a turn must you give a turn signal?

At least 100 feet.. You may use either hand/arm signals or your car's mechanical signal.

If a school bus is stopped on a road with less than four lanes ...

all traffic coming toward it from either direction must stop at least 10 feet from the front or rear of the bus.. In any situation, traffic must stop at least 10 feet from the bus.

If a school bus has stopped on a road with four or more lanes ...

traffic going in the same direction as the bus has to stop.. In any situation, traffic may move again when the bus starts to move or when the bus driver signals motorists to go.

A driver must yield the right of way to traffic approaching an intersection before making a right turn on red.

t. A driver has to yield: When told to by a yield sign; When crossing or entering a through highway from a smaller, less traveled road; To any vehicle coming from the right at an intersection of two similar roads without traffic lights; To a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk, or at an unmarked crosswalk at an intersection; On the approach of a public safety vehicle (such as a police car, a fire engine or an ambulance); For all vehicles that are in a funeral procession; To oncoming traffic when making a left turn; To traffic coming to an intersection before making a right turn on red.

Passing to the left is allowed when approaching and within 100 feet of an intersection.

f. Passing isn't allowed under the following circumstances: 1)When approaching the crest of a grade or curve in a roadway where the driver's view is obtructed and the driver can't see if the pass will interfere with oncoming traffic. 2)Within 100 feet of a bridge, viaduct of tunnel when the driver's view is obtructed. 3)When approaching and within 100 feet of an intersection or railroad grade crossing.

When passing another driver, the driver that is overtaking another vehicle must sound the horn to warn the other driver that he will be passed and use turn signals to show the intent to pass.

t. The driver that is being overtaken must maintain a contant speed and stay to the right until the other driver has safely passed.

It is illegal for you to park with 15 feet of a fire hydrant.

f. You can't park within 10 feet of a fire hydrant.

Ohio has a mandatory safety belt usage law. Who is exempt from this law?

Children covered by the child safety restraint law.. The Child Safety Seat Law requires all children under the age of 4 and/or weighing less that 40 pounds to be in an approved, proplerly used child safety seat. Other exemptions for the Mandatory Safety Belt Law: 1)People delivering mail or newspapers. 2)People carrying an affidavit from their doctor describing the medical conditions which prevent use of a safety belt. 3)People in vehicles manufactured before 1966.
