I am the 2003 World Champion in the 100M Butterfly. At the Athens Olympics, I contested the 100M Butterfly, 4X100M Freestyle, 4X100M Medley Relay, and the 50M Freestyle. I had 12 Olympic medals to my name. Who am I?

Jenny Thompson. At Athens, Jenny only managed two silver medals, compared to two gold, two silver, and one bronze she took home from the 2003 World Championships.

I tied for third at the 2001 World Championships in the 50M Freestyle. I then went on to claim the gold medal at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in the same event. I had a poor 2003 season, not making the final of my pet event (50M Free). However, 2004 was a much better year for me. I came home from the Athens Olympics with one gold, one silver and one bronze medal. Who am I?

Roland Schoeman. From Athens, Roland Schoeman claimed gold in the men's 4X100M Free Relay, silver in the 100M Freestyle, and bronze in the men's 50M Free.

In 2001, I came home a triple World Champion, taking out two of the three possible world championship titles in the butterfly events. I then went onto have a great year in 2002, winning numerous gold medals at Commonwealth Games and Pan Pacs. Due to injury in 2003, I was unable to retain my titles at the World Championships. When 2004 came around, I was ready to take on the rest of the world at the Athens Olympics. I came home with three gold and one silver. Who am I?

Petria Thomas. Petria took home gold in the 100M Butterfly, 4X100M Freestyle, and 4X100M Medley relays.

I was virtually unknown prior to Athens 2004. However, at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, I won gold in the 200M Individual Medley. I attended the 2003 World Championships, but did not make the final eight in any of the events I contested. Come Athens 2004, I went home with one gold, one silver, and one bronze. Who am I?

Kirsty Coventry. Kirsty Conventry, an African swimmer took gold in the 200M Backstroke, silver in the 100M Backstroke, and bronze in the 200M Individual Medley, the same event Kirsty won gold in at the 2002 Commonwealth Games.

Pieter van Den Hoogenband. Pieter van Den Hoogenband won the 100M Freestyle in Athens. At the 2001 and 2003 World Championships, he could only manage second place. The silvers came from the 200M Freestyle and 4X100M Freestyle relay.

I came home a triple Olympic Champion from the Sydney 2000 Olympics. The following year, I also came back home a triple World Champion from the 2001 Fukuoka World Championships. Come 2003, I contested only two events, in which I won gold in both. 2004 I looked to repeat the feats of Sydney 2000. However, I could only manage one gold, one silver and two bronze. Who am I?

Inge de Bruijn. Inge was in hot form going into the Sydney Olympics, setting world records in the 50M & 100M Freestyle, and 50M & 100M Butterfly. The Dutch team also won silver in the 4X100M Free Relay in Sydney. In 2001, Inge was entered in three events - 50M & 100M Free and 50M Fly. She won all three events. In 2003, Inge decided to only enter in the 50M events for the freestyle and butterfly, once again winning both events. 2004 saw Inge take out only the 50M free, out of three individual events she contested in. The silver came from the 100M Free, and the two bronze medals were in the 100M Fly and the 4X100M Free Relay.

I was considered one of the best in the world. I went to Sydney as a 15-year old. In 2001, I won the world championship title in the same event I made the final of in Sydney. In 2003, I was in four individual events. Of the four, I was the victor on three occasions. I set myself a goal in Athens, to win the most gold medals by any person in one Olympic Games. I entered in five Individual events and three relays. Of the eight medals I could possibly receive, I went home with the lot. However, I could only manage six gold and two bronze medals. Who am I?

Michael Phelps. Michael Phelps certainly had a great Olympic Games. He took out both the Butterfly and Individual Medley double.

I came home from Athens a heroine. I was the first woman in my country to win an Olympic gold medal in swimming. I also won a silver and a bronze medal. Before Athens 2004, I didn't have much luck on the international scene, but I surely proved after 2004 that I was a rising star. Who am I?

Laure Manaudou. Laure Manaudou won gold in the 400M Freestyle. She also placed second in the 800M Free and third in the 100M Backstroke.

Winner of a bronze medal in the 200M Breaststroke at the 2001 World Championships, I went on to claim the gold medal in the same event at the 2003 World Championships and 2004 Olympic games. I have also had victories in the 100M event. In winning both the 100M and 200M Breaststroke at the 2003 World Championships, I broke the then world record. Who am I?

Kosuke Kitajima. Kosuke went into the Athens Olympics without his World Records that he had set the previous year. Brendan Hansen broke both of Kosuke's world records at the U.S. Trials.

I'm a legend in my own right. I have won the double double. The 50M & 100M Freestyle at two consecutive Olympics. I was also a five-time World Champion. After having two years off, I returned to the international scene in 2003. At the 2003 World Championships I claimed gold in the 50M & 100M Free, and the 4X100M freestyle. I also anchored my team to a silver medal in the 4X100M Medley relay. Come 2004, you would've expected me to win the 50M and 100M double. However, I was unable to make the final in either event. I came home from Athens with no medals. Who am I?

Alexander Popov. Alexander Popov surely had a great swimming career. Winning numerous gold medals on the international scene, whether it be the Olympics, World Championships or European Championships.
