    Jims. Susan's nick-name for him was Little Kitchener, but everyone else stuck with Jims.

    The Piper & Piper. The only great poem of the war was written by Private Walter Blythe in the Flanders trenches.

    'Hearts of the world'. While watching 'Hearts of the World', Rilla stood up and shouted for the lady to grab the knife in her stocking, and the girl did!

Who was supposed to sing at the Junior Reds concert, but couldn't because her nephew had pneumonia?
    Mrs. Channing. Irene ended up singing in the concert, but Rilla had to eat a slice of 'humble pie' before she would ask Irene.

What did Mr. Pryor do when he saw a car coming down his street?
    He chased it with a pitchfork. 'Mrs. Dr dear, I would call such conduct unreasonable' says Susan, and I agree wth her.
