Fun Trivia: T : The L Word- Season 6

Special Sub-Topic: Shane's Interrogation Tape

As the investigation to solve Jenny's death continues, the second suspect to be questioned by Mary Beth Duffy is Jenny's girlfriend, Shane McCutcheon. Duffy's first question to Shane is related to her relationship with her friends. According to her answer, who is Shane closest to?

Alice. During her interrogation, Shane says that without a doubt she is closest to Alice.

According to Shane's response during the investigation, which of these friends has she known the longest?
Alice. Besides being closest to Alice, Shane also mentions that she has known her the longest. From what we may gather from the show, we know that, by the time Shane met Jenny in Season one, she already knew Bette and Alice. Max (formerly Moira) is introduced to the group on the third season when Jenny arrives from Skokie accompanied by Moira.

As Shane's interrogation progresses, Sergeant Duffy seems to be interested in all the details of Shane's friendship with Alice. How did Shane meet her?
She washed Alice's hair. Shane tells Sergeant Duffy that she met Alice after washing her hair at a salon she used to work. Alice had gone to the salon to get her hair done by a guy that worked with celebrities.

How did Alice start her first conversation with Shane going?
She asked Shane out for coffee. After Shane washed Alice's hair at the salon, Alice asked her out for coffee. Shane knew what Alice was up to (she probably just wanted to get some good gossip out of her), but she was also broke and starving, so she accepted the invitation. Alice didn't get any tidbits from Shane, as she really didn't know anything that could be of her interest.

Did Shane agree to Sergeant Duffy's statement that Alice was just using her?
    N. When Duffy asked whether Alice was just using her (in reference to the "hair and coffee incident"), Shane clearly states she wouldn't say that because Alice "doesn't use people".

While Shane is talking about her belief that 'everyone out there is set to do something', what does she conclude about herself?
She is meant to be alone. Shane comes to the conclusion that She is meant to be alone. She believes people have paths and whatever she is set out to do, it is by herself. She also realized how bad of a lover, girlfriend, life partner, or 'whatever you want to call it' she actually is.

What did Shane have to say about her relationship with Jenny?
All of these (It was unique, They had a connection, They understood each other very well). AS Shane describes her relationship with Jenny to Sergeant Duffy, She tells her it was a unique relationship, and that she thought that the connection they had between them was something Shane never had with anyone else. Shane also mentions to Duffy that she and Jenny understood each other very well.

As the interrogation moves on, Sergeant Duffy asks more questions to Shane about her relationship with Jenny Schecter. Did Shane love her?
    Y. Shane says she did love Jenny. However, when Sergeant Duffy asks whether she trusted Jenny, Shane takes a little longer to respond. She then says she did trust her (at least she wanted to), but it started to break down after a while.

Shane tells Sergeant Duffy that she thinks she knew everything about Jenny. Detective Holden, however, wants to know something else: did Jenny know everything about Shane?
    N. Shane has been keeping a secret from everyone since the fire incident at her WAX shop in episode 5.01: 'LGB Tease'. Not even Jenny knew that Shane had caused the fire.

Shane is interested in knowing about the Statute of Limitations for which of these acts?
Arson. Shane is curious to know about the Statute of Limitations for arson, since she was about to confess she had burned her own business about 18 months before. Detective Holden tells her that it's one year, which Shane doesn't seem to find much.
