Beautiful Day. This song is by the Irish band U2, and featured on their 2000 album “All That You Can’t Leave Behind”. ‘It’s a beautiful day! Don’t let it get away…’

Worse Woman

Better Man. Robbie Williams sang this song. It was on his album “Sing When You’re Winning”. Robbie's next album "Swing When You're Winning" featured a duet with Aussie actress Nicole Kidman, called “Something Stupid”.

You Didn't Know You Hated Me

I Knew I Loved You. This was sung by the Australian band Savage Garden, and was on their second album, “Affirmation”. Kirsten Dunst was in the music clip for this song.

You’re Without Me

Im With You & I'm With You. This was Avril Lavigne’s third single from her debut album “Let Go”. Avril is Canadian and was born in September 1984. Other hits of hers include “Complicated” and “Sk8r Boi”.

Cloudy Went Away

Sunny Came Home. Shawn Colvin won a Grammy for this song. She released it in 1997, along with songs like “You and the Mona Lisa”.

Ken Boy

Barbie Girl. This was an enormous debut single for Danish popsters Aqua. It was from their debut album “Aquarium”. They also had a hit with “Doctor Jones”, but none of their followings ever went as good as “Barbie Girl”.

Mama Do Practice

Papa Dont Preach & Papa Don't Preach. Madonna and Kelly Osbourne have both had success with this song. The reason I have made ‘practice’ the opposite of ‘preach’ is because of the old saying, ‘Practice what you preach’.

Small Purple Bus

Big Yellow Taxi. Joni Mitchell first had a hit with this in the 1960s. Amy Grant sang it in the 1990s, and in 2002 the Counting Crows sang it with Vanessa Carlton (who sang “A Thousand Miles”). Purple and yellow are complimentary colours on th colour wheel, and hence considered opposites.

Demon

Angel. Shaggy had a hit with this in 2001 (with singer Rayvon), and it was on his album “Hot Shot” with other hits like “It Wasn’t Me”. This song was really a cover of an old song, “Angel of the Morning”.

Down

Up. The second single from Shania Twain’s album “Up!” Shania is a Canadian country/folk/pop singer, and had big hits with “You’re Still the One”, “From This Moment On”, and “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!”
