    Patrol. LRRP scouts have weapons skills, observation, move in stealth, and are able to hide silently. Scouts must be able to operate alone in these areas for long periods without detection. They are likely to be in a group of three to five men with no direct support. Scouts trained to get silently into the enemy's area and report anything they see. They can tell if there is enemy troop movement, enemy installations, and vehicles. So they can radio land, air, or naval power to take them out. Naval scouts perform same missions, but are sent from the sea.

FAC stands for Forward-Air. What is the word for C?
    Controller. FAC is responsible for ordering air attacks by radio on enemy targets. When spotting enemy targets, FAC can call up fighters or bombers. When they arrive, FAC marks the target with special types of smoke or white phosphorus rockets for them to bomb. After the attacks, FAC quickly flies low to analyze if the target(s) have been destroyed.
