Fun Trivia: A : American Dad - Season 1

Special Sub-Topic: Stan of Arabia (2)

How many points does "Number One" get for making a sandwich?

    50. After the fight between Francine and Thundercat concludes, Stan talks to them both about it. He says that in Saudi Arabia, daddy makes the rules and mommy makes a sandwich. Thundercat runs into the kitchen and returns moments later with a sandwich. Stan then says, "Delicious sandwich Number One." When Francine looks upset, Stan says, "She's in the lead now. She got 50 points for making the sandwich. Oh yeah, there's points."

When Haley gets chased by the Saudi police, her rescuer asks if she wants to get stoned. Haley is excited at first.
    t. Haley is chased by the Police of Vice and Virtue for being outside without a man. When she is cornered after literally running into a brick wall, a nearby Saudi man pretends to be Haley's brother so she will be spared. When he asks if she would like to be stoned (after being so reckless around the police) Haley replies, "Oh, God, yes. It's been, like, forever." (This is another reference to the fact that Haley loves marijuana.) When Kazeem (her rescuer) explains what stoning is, Haley quickly changes her mind.

When Francine finishes her phone call with Bullock, what does she break?
fishbowl. Fed up with the sexist Saudi customs, Francine calls Bullock to plead with him to offer Stan his job back. When Bullock says he already did and Stan refused, Francine lets out a very loud scream, which shatters the nearby fishbowl with Klaus in it. Klaus then remarks, "Your family may have moved to Saudi Arabia, but I'm the real fish out of water."

While Roger is laying on the bed in his princess garb, what is he drinking?
Tom Collins. The man that purchased Roger in Part 1 is now revealed to have purchased him to be one of the many wives for a Saudi prince. Roger is laying on a bed in the palace, when an assistant brings him a drink. Roger tells him, "This is a Tom Collins. Whatever you did, write it down, because you nailed it."

How many people does Francine kiss during her song and dance number?
    22. Francine's performance is about everything she hates about Saudi Arabia (which is pretty much everything). During the number, Francine proceeds to do things which are highly illegal in Saudi Arabia, such as removing her robe and raising her voice. At one point, she even kisses several members of the audience that has been gathering around her. She does it in three sets of seven men (each getting a quick peck) and then gives the twenty-second man a longer, more aggressive smooch. As Francine finishes up, the police arrive and take her away to jail.

What does the sign on the wall outside of the American Embassy say?
Bomb Free Since. Beside the sign is a gaping hole in the wall, obviously made by a bomb. There originally used to be more on the sign, but whatever date was there was taken off by the bomb, creating a pretty funny joke with the sign.

What color is Steve's hair when he emerges from the desert as a prophet?
white. Near-dead from heat exhaustion and dehydration in the desert, Steve prays to God to save him. God comes to answer Steve (in the form of Angelina Jolie), and they have a chat about Steve enjoying his childhood while it lasts. Shortly thereafter, Steve finds his way into a town, and starts preaching about religious topics (and how to divide disputed territories to allow Israelis and Palestinians to live in peace). But when Steve says God is a woman, his new followers immediately betray him.

During Stan's fantasy, what do the American troops drop from planes for the Saudis?
beer, pants, and Bibles. When the family is about to be stoned, they all hope for a miracle to save them. A helicopter soon flies overhead, and President Bush (in a "Rambo" type outfit) drops from it. After he proclaims democracy has arrived, planes drop beer, pants, and Bibles (things associated with America that Saudi Arabia does not have much of, if any at all). All the Saudis become Americanized, while a party erupts. The scene soon shows that the family is still buried in the sand, and Stan was just daydreaming with his eyes closed the whole time.

After the stoning is cancelled, who is the one person to throw a rock?
Thundercat. The prince that Roger was sold to has been wanting to consort with his "newest and loveliest concubine", so Roger makes him a deal (off-camera). If the prince orders the release of the Smiths, Roger will agree to consort with the prince. When the announcement is made at the arena that the stoning has been cancelled, Thundercat (still competitive and bitter towards Francine) hits Francine in the head with a small rock. Now that the family is free and can return to America, Stan ends his marriage to Thundercat.

Who is the last character to speak in the episode?
Roger. When the family arrives back in America, they end the season with a song and dance number about how America isn't the worst country in the world. After they finish, Roger pops out of a suitcase and says, "Oh, and uh, what happens in Saudi Arabia stays in Saudi Arabia. Okay? Seriously."
