    ballet. Though Audrey's heart and soul was put into ballet, she lacked basic techniques and was too tall to be a professional dancer.

Audrey made her first appearance (credited) in which film?
    Laughter in Paradise. Audrey was first offered the lead in this 1951 film but turned it down. Later, she came back and said she wanted the part. The role had been cast, so Audrey had to settle for a bit part. She had one line, "Who wants a ciggy?" She played a KLM stewardess (uncredited) in "Nederlands in 7 lessen" (1948) - aka "Dutch in Seven Lessons" (1948).

For which film did Audrey win an Oscar?
    Roman Holiday. The 1953 William Wyler film starring Gregory Peck pushed Audrey to star status. Audrey's performance was so strong that Gregory Peck (already a big star) insisted she get equal billing. This would be the only Oscar Audrey would ever win.

Which famous designer was one of Audrey's life-long friends and responsible for the "Hepburn look"?
    Hubert de Givenchy. Givenchy stated of Audrey, "Audrey knew herself perfectly, the qualities as well as the flaws. I think that's why she was so loyal to me. I didn't hide anything of hers. I let her be. But it just so happened, I didn't really believe she had many flaws in her appearance - and certainly not in her personality."

What is the name of the romantic-comedy film in which Audrey stars as a playgirl?
    Breakfast at Tiffany's. Audrey plays Holly Golightly in this 1961 classic. (Personally, this is my favorite film of all time!) Henry Mancini wrote the famous "Moon River" specifically for Audrey and this film ... and no one sang it better than Audrey!

In which film did Audrey play George Bernard Shaw's Eliza Dolittle?
    My Fair Lady. Audrey came to resent part of this famous 1964 film because of the soundtrack. After taking lessons and recording all the songs, her voice was dubbed over in the final cut ... a poor choice if you ask me!

In which movie did Audrey make her final film appearance?
    Always. Audrey played an angel in Steven Spielberg's 1989 film. What a way to go out!

For which charity did Audrey devote the rest of her life to after she left her film career behind?
    UNICEF. Audrey was a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF. She travelled the world in her plight to help needy children in third-world countries. She stated, "To save a million children is a God-given opportunity."

What is Audrey's date of death?
    January 20, 1993. Audrey was only 63 years old when she passed away due to colon cancer. She left behind two sons and a legacy that will never die. As Elizabeth Taylor stated, "God has a most beautiful new angel now, that will know just what to do in heaven."
