Hunter, Bree, Robbie, Sky, Raven. The school boiler had broken down, so Morgan, Bree, Robbie and Raven had a long weekend. They decided to combine a trip to see Bree's father with Hunter's work for the council. Sky went along because she is Hunter's cousin and is seeing Raven.

Amyranth. Amyranth is a coven of completely Woodbane witches. The problem with it is that all of the witches in Amyranth are evil and enjoy nothing more than wiping out a few non-Woodbane covens and draining powerful witches of their power. Hunter is sent to investigate the New York cell of Amyranth because very little is known about it.

Where were they all staying in New York?

At Bree's dad's flat. Bree's dad is a lawyer and spends most of his time in New York. He agreed to let Bree stay at the flat with her friends for the weekend.

Cloisters. Cloisters is a medieval museum and Raven said "I love that stuff", so she went with Sky.

Why did Morgan go to the Bureau of Records?

To find out where Maeve and Angus had lived. Morgan read in her mother's Book of Shadows that she and Angus had lived in Hell's Kitchen for a while after they had fled from Ireland. Morgan wanted to find a watch that had been given to her mother by Ciaran MacEwan. Maeve had hidden it under the flat before she moved away.

Why did they go to a club on the first night?

because one of the DJs had some information Hunter could use. Hunter was told that a DJ at this particular club might know something about Amyranth.

Which two people did Morgan meet at the nightclub?

Killian and Ciaran. Killian is a blood witch who flirts with Raven. He glamours himself so that he looks older and buys alcohol for himself and Raven. He seems to have a connection with Morgan, so doesn't annoy her as much as everyone else. Morgan meets Ciaran outside of the club but she doesn't know who he is at the time.

Why does Morgan decide to stay with Killian and let everyone else go out and do their own thing?

Because Killian annoys everyone else. Morgan has always been at ease with Killian since she met him at the nightclub, but there is something about him that annoys everyone else. He annoys Sky because he flirts with Raven too much and he just gets on everyone else's nerves, so Morgan convinces Hunter to let her stay with him while everyone else goes out.

Why is Hunter annoyed the morning after Killian stayed?

Because Killian has disappeared. The events of the previous night had scared Killian, so he decided to run away. When Hunter sees that he has disappeared the next morning he gets very annoyed.

Hunter thinks that Amyranth are after Killian. Is he right?

n. At the beginning of the book Morgan has disturbing dreams and the council think they mean that a member of Amyranth is going to sacrifice their child to steal their powers. Everyone thinks this child is Killian because they find out that he is Ciaran MacEwan's son and he is the leader of Amyranth, but it turns out that Morgan is the real victim in her dreams because she is Ciaran's illegitimate child.
