    A nest-maid snake. Mrs. P is Soren's nest-maid snake. She does not like seagulls and calls them "wet poopers." Seagulls are known in this book as "wet poopers" because they do not yarp pellets like owls.

What type of owl is Soren?
    Barn Owl. Soren is from the Forest Kingdom of Tyto, home to Barn Owls. All the owls, however, are listed in the books.

Who pushes the young owlet out of the nest, as they find out later after it happened?
    Kludd. Kludd, Soren's brother, pushed him out of the nest, as Mrs. P. reveals. Kludd hated Soren and got rid of him.

Who is Soren's best friend by the end of the book?
    Gylfie. Soren and Gylfie become best friends. They also have more, such as Twilight, Digger, and Hortense.

Twilight is a Great Gray.
    t. Twilight is a Great Gray owl. He was orphaned soon after hatching.

What is the name of the owl who teaches Soren and Gylfie to fly?
    Grimble. Grimble, an owl from St. Aggies, teaches young Soren and Gylfie to fly. He later dies in the book.

Soren's "special" number is 12-1. Who has the number 12-8?
    Hortense. Twilight and Digger were never at St. Aggies. Gylfie's number was 25-2.

What is the St. Aegolus Academy commonly referred to?
    St. Aggie's. The name is shortened to St. Aggie's. It is run by Skench and Spoorn.

Who do Soren and Gylfie meet after escaping from St. Aegolus Academy?
    Twilight. Jatt, Jutt, and Grimble are at St. Aggies. Twilight claims he is from "the orphan school of tough learning", as he is constantly reminding them. They meet him when Soren and Gylfie land, when Gylfie is upside-down on the tree branch.
