    Jacob Schick. During a stint in the Army during WWI, Schick was inspired by the repeating rifle to invent the magazine repeating razor. After a court fight over patent rights, after which the judge was convicted of accepting bribes, Schick sold his company, which was eventually bought by Eversharp, Inc.

Was there really a Chef Boyardee?
    Yes. His name was Hector Bioardi and he started his pasta sauce business in Cleveland. When he marketed his goods, the labels spelled it like it sounded.

    Charles Post. Post invented Postum in 1895 and named his company Postum Cereal Company. Post Toasties was invented in 1904. Charles Post committed suicide in 1914.

    Willow. The Bayer Company began selling aspirin in powder form as a tablet in 1915.

    picture frames. The company got its name by combining letters of the last and first names of its founders, Harold Matson and Elliot Handler.
