    Yakushima. Yakushima is part of the Kagoshima Prefecture. It is sometimes used by Honda for research and testing.

Which of these Japanese mountains is furthest north?
    Asahi-dake (2290 metres). Interestingly, these mountains semm to decrease in height the further south they get. Asahi-dake and Horoshiriri-dake are both situated on Hokkido, whilst Iwate-san is in Northern Honshu, and Ishizuchi-san is on Shikoku.

How many Japanese islands have hosted the Olympic Games?
    2. Honshu has hosted the games twice - Tokyo hosted the Summer Olympics in 1964, and Nagano hosted the Winter Olympics in 1998 - and Hokkaido held the games once in 1972 with the city of Sapporo hosting.

The sea north of Hokkaido is called the Sea of Sapporo.
