Josette Du Pres. Josette came to Collinsport in 1795 to marry Barnabas. Josette did not know that her servant Angelique was a witch and that she and Barnabas had previously been lovers. When Barnabas refused to give up Josette, Angelique cast spells that resulted in Barnabas becoming a vampire and Josette dying.

When Barnabas first arrived in modern day Collinsport, he met a woman that bore a striking resemblance to his departed love. Who was the woman that Barnabas kidnapped in an attempt to bring back his late fiancée?

Maggie Evans. Convinced that Maggie could be transformed into Josette, Barnabas staged an elaborate plot to cause her to take on Josette's personality. When his plot failed he kidnapped Maggie and intended to kill her. This occurred before Barnabas became a more caring and sympathetic creature of the night.

While not technically a woman, she was female and Barnabas did love her. What was the name of Barnabas' sister?

Sarah. Sarah's ghost helped Maggie escape from Barnabas. In the first flashback plot we learned that Barnabas loved his little sister dearly. After Barnabas "died" Sarah saw him, was frightened and stayed out in a storm all night. She died from an illness she contracted. Barnabas blamed himself for her death.

At first an adversary of Barnabas, this woman became one of his most loyal allies. Although unrequited, many times it was implied that this woman had fallen in love with Barnabas. Julia Hoffman. Julia was first introduced as a doctor at Windcliff treating Maggie Evans. She went to Collinswood to try to determine what had happened to her, posing as a historian. Julia would end up assisting Barnabas in most of the major storylines to follow.

Back to 1795, what was the name of Barnabas’ mother?

Naomi Collins. Poor Naomi, she suffered the loss of both her son Barnabas and her daughter Sarah only to find later that her son has become a vampire. Naomi couldn’t face that truth and took her own life.

Barnabas first met this woman in parallel time. She was the victim of a curse and Barnabas saved her. He later encounters her in modern times and finds out she is a vampire. Who am I talking about?

Roxanne Drew. When Barnabas discovered that Roxanne was a vampire he attempted to go back in time to find how she became a vampire and prevent it. He was dismayed to learn that his 1800's self, who had been freed from his chained coffin by Julia, had in fact been the vampire that put the bite on Roxanne. Isn't this whole time travel thing confusing?

Just before this woman died in 1840 after being shot by Lamar Trask, Barnabas declared his love for her. Who was she?

Angelique Bouchard. In one of the final story lines of the series Angelique cures Barnabas, loses her powers and is then killed. Hindsight being 20/20, couldn’t Angelique have won Barnabas over had she cured him earlier? It certainly could have prevented a whole lot of unpleasantness.

Miranda duVal was an evil person. Over the centuries she used many names. Which of the following was not a name used by Miranda duVal?

All are names used by Miranda duVal. This is Angelique’s real name. Cassandra Blair and Valerie Collins are other identities she assumed in her various plots. She was using the name Miranda in 1692 while she was a follower of Judah Zachary. This was before all the “ugliness” with Barnabas Collins.

Barnabas’ attempts to be reunited with his fiancée from 1795 are a recurring plot line throughout the series. She was actually reincarnated in 1897. What was her name in this persona?

Kitty Soames. In a side plot of the Quentin/werewolf arc, Barnabas discovered that Kitty Soames was indeed his beloved Josette. Unfortunately, no sooner then Kitty realized who she was she was taken back to the 1700’s. Kitty/Josette is saved from jumping off of Widow’s Hill and all set to marry Barnabas despite that whole vampire thing. On his way to get her, Barnabas is kidnapped by the Leviathan followers and taken back to modern times. Josette, thinking that Barnabas has jilted her drinks poison and dies. Isn't this whole time travel thing was confusing?
