    Djoser. The Step Pyramid at Saqqara is the first pyramid ever to be built. It was built in the so-called "Old Kingdom", between 2650-2134 B.C. This pyramid is shaped like steps which form "a stairway to Paradise". Djoser ruled Egypt between 2396-2388 B.C.

    18th. She was one of the triumphant and victorious pharaohs of the 18th Dynasty who started ruling Egypt as from 1490 B.C. After her death in 1457 B.C., however, she was gone from the Egyptian history. Her statues were smashed and her name was never to be found anywhere in Egypt.

    y. Menkaure (Mycerinus) was a Pharaoh of Egypt during the Old Kingdom in the 4th Dynasty. He succeeded his father Khafre (Chephren), in circa 2532 B.C. Khafre built the second pyramid on the Giza Plateau. The first and biggest pyramid was built by Khufu (Cheops) on the Giza Plateau.

How old was Amenhotep IV when he became a pharaoh?
    18. Amenhotep IV was the son of Amenhotep III. He was about 18 years old when he became a pharaoh. He ruled between 1352-1336 B.C. and changed the whole Egypt. He started preaching monotheism (it meant that everyone had to worship his personal god, Aton) and changed the art of Egypt. All the paintings in the temples were modified. They only showed him and his family praying to Aton. He also changed his name from Amenhotep IV to Akhenaten.

How many sons did Queen Tiye have by Amenhotep III?
    two. Queen Tiye and Amenhotep III (father of Amenhotep/Akhenaten) had six kids: four daughters and two sons. The two sons were Thutmosis and Amenhotep (Akhenaten). Amenhotep III ruled between 1390-1352 B.C.

Of which metal is Tutankhamun's mask (which covers the head and shoulders of his mummy) made?
    gold. This shows that the Egyptians were skilled goldsmiths. The cobra and the vulture are displayed on his forehead, as symbols of protection. Tutankhamun ruled Egypt between 1334 to 1325 B.C. It all started in the year 1917: Howard Carter was a monuments' inspector who went to Egypt in search of Tutankhamun's tomb and started looking for Tutankhamun's grave in the Valley of the Kings. He dug for a while, but could not find anything. They were almost about to give up hope when on 4th November, 1922, his tomb was found.
