Orpheus helped Jason by singing the dragon that guarded the Fleece into a deep sleep.
2. Who is the gloomy King of the Underworld that was so enchanted by Orpheus' music?

Answer: Hades

Hades (also called Pluto in Roman mythology), son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea, and brother of the deities Zeus and Poseidon. After Cronus was killed, the kingdom of the underworld fell by lot to Hades. There he ruled with his queen, Persephone, over the infernal powers and over the dead, in what was often called 'the House of Hades,' or simply Hades.
3. Who is the father of Icarus?

Answer: Daedalus

King Minos was enraged when Theseus killed the Minotaur and managed to get out of the labyrinth. He then ordered Daedalus, the designer of the labyrinth, killed. Daedalus decided to flee with his son and built wings for them both. Daedalus told Icarus to fly closely behind him. Icarus did not listen and kept on flying higher.

Then, the wax which held his wings in place began to melt, as he flew too close to the sun. He fell into the sea and died. Perdix is Daedalus' nephew who was turned into a partridge by Athene.

Achilles had an argument with the Greek leader Agamemnon and refused to fight the Trojans. Instead, his friend Patroclus went to the battle field. There he was killed by the Trojan hero Hector. Achilles was so enraged by the death of his friend that he killed Hector and dragged his body behind his chariot for days, right below the walls of Troy for all to see. To avenge the dishonorable death of his elder brother, Paris shot a poisoned arrow through Achilles' heel.

Publius Sirius sent his slave Androcles to the amphitheater for trying to flee. During his escape, Androcles healed a wounded lion, and was captured. In the amphitheater, he met the lion again, who protected him from the other lions. Emperor Tiberius made him a free man and gave him the lion.

Beowulf is a nobleman of the Geatas people of Sweden. He considered the Danes as his brothers.
