Special Sub-Topic: There's Something About Paris

Paris was born as an heiress to the famous Hilton chain of hotels. How is she related to the founder, Conrad Hilton?

Great-granddaughter. Paris Whitney Hilton was born February 17, 1981 to parents Richard and Kathy Hilton. Richard's parents are Barron Hilton and Marilyn Hawley. Barron Hilton's father was Conrad Hilton. Kathy Richards (Hilton), Paris's mother, was an actress who guest-starred on shows like "Happy Days" (1974) and "The Rockford Files" (1974).

Paris actually began working as a child. What was her first job?
Model. She started as a child model. When she was 19 she signed with T Management, which is Donald Trump's agency. She was pretty successful. She appeared in ads for Guess and in Maxim in 2004.

Paris's reality show "The Simple Life" (2003) ended up getting a lot of media attention. What incident happened a week before the premiere to focus more attention on Paris?
The release of a personal video. A homemade video entitled "1 Night in Paris" was "leaked" one week before the show's premiere. It was three years old and featured Paris with then-paramour Rick Salomon.

"The Simple Life" wasn't Paris's first shot at acting. In which movie did Paris premiere as "Girl on Beach"?
"Wishman "(1993). "Wishman" is about a junk artist who tries to help a genie find his bottle. The other three are actual titles of Paris Hilton films. In "QIK2JDG" she played "strung-out supermodel".

Paris was engaged twice before 2006. Who were the lucky guys?
Jason Shaw and Paris Latsis. While she has been linked romantically to all of these men, Shaw and Latsis are the only two to almost become "Mr. Paris Hilton". She has also been linked to Edward Furlong, Vincent Gallo, Jared Leto, and Jake Sumner (son of Sting) -among others.

In 2006 Paris became a producer. Which "National Lampoon" film did she produce?
Pledge This!. She appeared in "Pledge This!" (2006) as Victoria English. Her one-time boyfriend Simon Rex also appeared in this film. The movie was not a commercial success.

Fame was not actually Paris's original career choice. What did she say she originally wanted to be when she grew up?
A veterinarian. She said in 2006 "I first wanted to be a veterinarian. And then I realised you had to give them shots to put them to sleep, so I decided I'd just buy a bunch of animals and have them in my house instead."

Hilton launched her singing career in 2006 with her debut album "Paris". Critics didn't agree the album was "hot". How many stars did it garner in "USA Today"?
one and a half. Paris said, "I, like, cry when I listen to it. It's so good." USA Today said "Hilton's colorless, wafer-thin singing reminds us there are still limits to what technology can do for the human voice."

Paris also co-wrote a best-selling book in 2004. What was the title?
Confessions of an Heiress. The full title is "Confessions of an Heiress: A Tongue-in-Chic Peek Behind the Pose". The book downplays and outright ignores the scandals that have plagued Paris. It instead includes lists of her favorite designers and encourages young ladies to "find your inner heiress".

While she will probably never be considered a role model, Paris seems to have The Midas Touch when it comes to business. Besides acting and modeling, which of these businesses has she succesfully started?
All of these (A perfume line, A line of purses, A chain of nightclubs). She has also launched a watch collection and branded an energy drink. She earns millions of dollars a year! It is said that no one under the age of 30 understands her celebrity. Nevertheless, she has become a household name - for better or worse.
