Special Sub-Topic: Tintin and "The Blue Lotus"

At the start of the adventure, Tintin is actually a guest at a particular place. In which country was that place located?

India. Tintin and Snowy were guests of the Maharaja of Gaipajama; having busted a racket of opium dealers, Tintin thought he was going to get a well deserved rest. There were a lot of questions left unanswered......

To entertain Tintin, the host asks a "person' to "demonstrate his remarkable powers". Which of these feats is NOT done by him?
Drink Blood. He also balances himself on a nail (using his nose!). He warns of a great danger - a man with yellow skin and black hair (and he wears glasses) who has sworn to destroy Tintin.

Where does Mr. Mitsuhirato stay?
Street of Tranquility. Tintin was asked to Mr. Mitsuhirato by a person who comes to see Tintin at the palace of Gaipajama. Mr. Mitsuhirato is a Japanese man with black hair (and he wears glasses!).

On the way to Mr. Mitsuhirato's residence, the cycle-rickshaw guy (Chinese) accidentally bumps into a European by the name of Gibbons. When Gibbons tries to assault the Chinese guy, Tintin interferes and Gibbons has to retreat. Which club do we see Gibbons heading into?
Occidental Private Club. Gibbons is on a mission to "civilize the savages" and introduce "the savages" to "our superb western civilisation". Gibbons mentions this to the Chief of Police of the Shanghai International Settlement.

After a few brushes with "death" and "mysterious people", Tintin finally meets the people who have been secretly saving his life. What is the name of the group?
"Sons of the Dragon". Sons of the Dragon is a secret society which tries to fight Opium - which is causing havoc in the countryside. The leader is an old Chinese man by the name of Wang Chen-yee.

Mitsuhirato supplies Opium to many European cities. Which is NOT one of them?
Naples. He also sends opium to Le Havre, Hamburg, Marseilles. This is written in a chart in his office. The names of various ships (carriers of opium) are Saturn, Everest, Black Star, Marigold etc.

Tintin intercepts and decodes a message sent by the Opium dealers. Where was the meeting supposed to take place "at ten o'clock that night"?
Blue Lotus. Tintin reaches the Blue Lotus and manages to follow the dealers to a secret location, where he realizes the real motive - to spread unrest and help the Japanese troops to enter China (under a pretext of trying to protect its resources in the country).

Soon Tintin is captured, escapes miraculously (after a blunder by Mr. Mitsuhirato) and then finds out that he is labeled a criminal by the Japanese. What is the reward offered for his capture?
5000 Yen. Mr. Mitsuhirato complains to the Japanese troops that he was attacked by Tintin, a Chinese spy. Later he raises the reward to 10000 Yen.

After his arrest in the International settlement and transfer to the Japanese troops, Tintin is sentenced to death. Which of these is NOT a charge against him?
Travelling with Forged Papers. He was also convicted of assaulting a senior officer. He also had to wear the tablet (stating his crimes) and be paraded on the streets. However Mr. Wang and company manage to rescue him in nick of time!

During the 'Blue Lotus' adventure, Tintin meets a Chinese guy and they become very good friends. Tintin later saves him from the "Yeti" in another adventure. What was the name of the friend?
Chang. In the end, the chief villain is revealed but not captured. A cure of the "madness" poison is discovered and all's well! After this adventure, Tintin returns to Europe.
