    Depeche Mode - "Just Can't Get Enough". Despite their massive worldwide success, "Just Can't Get Enough" was Depeche Mode's only entry in the 1990 countdown. De La Soul - "Say No Go" made number 91. Dinosaur Jr. - "Freak Scene" made number 74. The Doors - "L.A. Woman" made number 62.

Which artist managed the most entries in the countdown?
    The Cure. The Cure were easily the most represented artist in the countdown, with seven entries to their name. Four of these entries made the top 25, with "A Forest" being the highest at number 11.

Did any artist receive consecutive entries in the countdown? (Example: 34 & 35)
    y. British musician Billy Bragg managed this, with "Waiting for the Great Leap Forwards" and "Greetings to the New Brunette" making numbers 58 and 59 respectively. The Cure almost managed this, with "Boys Don't Cry" and "Just Like Heaven" only two places apart.

Which of these songs from the top five in 1989 didn't stay in the top five in 1990?
    The Jam - "That's Entertainment". "That's Entertainment" was the only song that fell out of the top five in 1991. It fell down to number ten, allowing "How Soon Is Now?" by The Smiths move into the top five.

    47. British artists continued to dominate the countdown with six of the top seven entries coming from the United Kingdom. Their dominance was helped by multiple entries by The Cure, The Smiths, New Order, and many others.

Which Australian artist had the most entries for an Australian artist in 1990, with four?
    Hunters & Collectors. In addition to having the most entries, Hunters & Collectors also had the highest Australian entry, with "Throw Your Arms Around Me" making number two for the second time in a row. They also had the greatest improvement within the countdown, as "The Slab" moved up 57 places from 1989 to 1990.

Which artist managed to have two songs in the top ten?
    The Smiths. After making seven and 13 with "How Soon Is Now?" and "This Charming Man" in 1989, The Smiths moved up with both songs and made numbers three and seven. They also made number 44 with "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out".

What was the highest placed song in the 1990 countdown that didn't make the 1989 countdown?
    The Stone Roses - "Fool's Gold". "Fool's Gold" was one of the newer songs in the countdown. Despite being released originally in 1989, it did not make the countdown until 1990 when it was re-released. It managed to make number six in 1990, and number seven in 1991.
