    Eyre Highway. The Eyre Highway travels over the Nullabor Plain, an isolated stretch of land which also happens to be the largest limestone block in the world.

    William Gosse. Gosse sighted Uluru in 1873 and called it Ayers Rock after the South Australian premier of the time, Sir Henry Ayers. The name was changed in 1995 to acknowledge to ownership of the land in the area by the local Anangu people.

    Sturt's Desert Pea. Australia has an abundance of wildflowers. Sturt's Desert Pea flowers in Spring and is found in dry inland areas.

    Western Australia. The Hamersley Ranges are the oldest in Australia and date back 3500 million years. They are in the Pilbara region of WA.
