    Gordon and Shugart. SFC Randy Shughart and SFC Gary Gordon were posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, the first given since Vietnam.

    Grenada. The Rangers were supposed to secure the airfield at Port Salinas and then move on to rescue American Students at the True Blue Medical campus and then capture members of the Cuban Army.

    1st and 2nd. 1st BN jumped in first and was followed by 2nd BN. 1st BN secured the Medical campus and 2nd BN assaulted the barracks at Calivigny.

Where was 1st Ranger Battalion organized and activated?
    Northern Ireland. 1st BN was activated on June 19, 1942. It was comprised mostly of soldiers from the 1st Armored Division and 34th Infantry Division. These soldiers were hand picked by Darby and his officers.

What two people brought about the Ranger Motto "Rangers Lead the Way!"?
    Cota and Schneider. LTC Max Schneider was the commander of the 5th Ranger Battalion. Gen Cota gave "Rangers Lead the Way" as an order to LTC Schneider at Omaha Beach.
