If you were to take a pilgrimage to Myles Standish State Forest, what state would you be going to?
    Massachusetts. Myles Standish was the military leader for the Pilgrims Plymouth Colony in Massachusetts.

Where would you find Pontiac Lake State Recreation Area?
    Michigan. This park is just 11 miles from the Pontiac Silverdome, former home of the NFL Detroit Lions.

Where would you go to visit Kaena Point State Park and Hapuna Beach State park?
    Hawaii.

In this state you would find Tippecanoe River State Park. Which state is it?
    Indiana. General William Henry Harrison became famous for the battle of Tippecanoe in Indiana. In fact during his successful run for President his campaign slogan became 'Tippecanoe and Tyler too' John Tyler was his VP running mate.

In California there is a state park that has the same name as a state prison made famous by a Johnny Cash country hit. Can you name it?
    Folsom. Johnny Cash's 'Folsom Prison Blues' was a number 1 hit in both the 50's and 60's when it was released on two different labels. Folsom Lakes State Recreation Area and Folsom Prison are both near Sacramento.

Where would you find Lake Kissimmee State Park?
    Florida. This park is located in Lake Wales, Florida just south of the city of Kissimmee and Disney World.

Franklin D Roosevelt State Park and the Little White House State Historical Park are both located in which southern state?
    Georgia. FDR often visited the Warm Springs Georgia area believing that the springs there would help cure his polio. He didn't find a cure but did learn that the springs would bring him relief and improvement.

In Wyoming there is a state park named after what Hall of Fame sportscaster?
    Curt Gowdy. The Curt Gowdy State Park outside of Cheyenne was established in 1971. Gowdy not only broadcast many baseball and football games, he also hosted a hunting and fishing show called 'The American Sportsman' show for many years.

Missouri has a state park named after a US President and one named after a famous American author. Can you name them?
    Harry S. Truman and Mark Twain. Hope you enjoyed this journey to some of the state parks found in the US.
