He does not know that the sword was forged by the Lich King and with his mind bent on vengeance, the sword consumes Arthas soul, causing him to kill his own father.

When the prophet reveals himself as Medivh the Last Guardian, he tells the Thrall, Jaina, Tyrande and Furion how when he brought the orcs in this world, he made the passage for the Burning Legion possible. He tells that to defeat the Legion that the orcs, humans and night elves must unite to beat back the Legion. After forming their plan, Thralls and Jainas forces hold back the Legion with the help of Tyrande and the Nightelves while Furion set a trap for Archimonde. Once Archimonde reaches the World Tree, Furion blows the Horn of Cenarius and a million wisp come and penetrate Archimonde body destroying him.
