My first breakthrough came due to me being such a fantastic neighbour. I should be so lucky to have had so many hits over the years, it kept my world spinning around. My friend Robbie and I teamed up for a song because we didn't mind doing it for the kids. Who was I?

    Kylie Minogue. Kylie began acting in the Australian soap opera "Neighbours" in 1986 and her onscreen marriage to the character played by Jason Donovan attracted more than 20 million British viewers. "I should be so Lucky" (1988) achieved much success for Kylie early in her music career as it reached number one on many different charts around the world including countries such as the UK, Australia and Germany. Over the years she had hits including "Spinning Around" (2000) and "Kids" (2000), which was a duet with Robbie Williams.

We were a high voltage Australian rockband. Over the years we travelled on many highways to hell but we always came back in black. Who were we?
    AC/DC. AC/DC were a hugely popular Australian band who sold more than 200 million albums worldwide. "High Voltage" was the name of their first album in 1975, "Highway to Hell" was their album in 1979. In 1980 lead singer Bon Scott died and was replaced by Brian Johnson. 1980 also saw the release of the AC/DC album "Back in Black" which was one of the highest selling albums of all time.

This band claims that they were a new sensation although they have been around since the 1970s. The swing that this band created was one of their original sins. Who was the band?
    INXS. This band formed in the 1970s and released their first single in Australia and France in 1980. "New Sensation" was from their 1987 album "Kick". In 1984 the band released their fourth album "The Swing" which featured the song "Original Sin". One of the original band members, Michael Hutchence died in 1997. In 2005 JD Fortune won a televised competition named "Rockstar INXS" to become the new lead vocalist for the band. In 2009 Fortune accused the band of firing him, however they rejected these accusations.

We have wiped all your tears every time you cry and we did reach out to you. Dancing in the streets was one of our reactions when you said you love me. Who were we?
    Human Nature. Human Nature released their debut album in 1996 called "Telling Everybody", however they originally formed in 1989. "Reach Out: The Motown Record" was their fifth album in 2005 followed by "Dancing in the Street: the Songs of Motown II" in 1996. "Everytime you Cry" and "Reach Out" were big hits for the band over the years.

We have asked many females "are you gonna be my girl?" and they fearfully said to their friends "get me outta here". This angers their friends who stare at us and say "Look what you've done". This leaves us feeling as though our black hearts are on fire. Who were we?
    JET. JET is a band from Melbourne Australia who released their debut album in 2003 titled "Get Born" which featured tracks including "Are You Gonna Be My Girl", "Look What You've Done" and "Get Me Outta Here". The song "Black Hearts (On Fire)" is from their 2009 album "Shaka Rock".

I began to shine right from the beginning; my career could be described as perfect. When I was asked for advice I simply replied "always remember to kiss your mamma and then you will always know that this is who I am". Who was I?
    Vanessa Amorosi. Amorosi's first album "The Power" included the hit tracks "Absolutely Everybody" and "Shine" and the latter song won her an ARIA award for the most played song on Australian radio in 2001. She has also released singles including "Kiss Your Mamma!" (2007) and "Perfect" (2008). The song "This is Who I Am" was from her 2009 album "Hazardous". In 2000 Amorosi sang at both the opening and closing ceremonies of the Sydney Olympics.

We strongly believed that if you kept losing sleep you were suffering from insomnia. Our motto was luv your life and that kept us around after all these years. Who were we?
    Silverchair. Silverchair originally formed and called the group Innocent Criminal' in Newcastle, New South Wales. Their fifth album "Young Modern" was released in 2007 and featured among others the songs "If You Keep Losing Sleep" and "Insomnia". "Luv Your Life" and "After All These Years" were from their 2002 album "Diorama"

I was certainly a modern artist gaining much of my inspiration from the 21st century life. My tip for saving money was buying Black and Gold branded items at the supermarket. Who was I?
    Sam Sparro. Sam Sparro was an Australian artist from Sydney, New South Wales. His debut self-titled album was released in 2007 and featured the tracks "21st Century Life" and "Black and Gold". Black and Gold is a cheap basic brand that is available in numerous Australian supermarkets.

As artists there was always the worry in the back of our mind that no one would come to our concerts, but who really cared if nobody saw? It wouldn't leave us lost and running or reduce us to black tears. Who were we?
    Powderfinger. "Who Really Cares", "Nobody Sees", "Lost and Running" and "Black Tears" were all from Powderfinger's sixth album "Dream Days at the Hotel Existence" (2007). Powderfinger were an Australian rock band that originated in Brisbane in 1989. In 2010 the group announced that they would disband after their "Sunsets" tour.

We always travel around in our big red car with our friend Wags the dog. Our band gets on well together because we're all friends. We have been known to have a wiggly wiggly Christmas but that is not unusual in our wiggly wiggly world. Who are we?
    The Wiggles. The Wiggles were an internationally famous children's band that formed in Sydney in 1991. They released more than 40 albums. According to the "Business Review Weekly", they were the top earning Australian entertainers between 2006 and 2009. "Big Red Car" was the band's fifth album and was released in 1995 and featured the song "Wags the Dog". The song "We're all Friends" featured on their 1992 album "Here Comes a Song". "Wiggly, Wiggly Christmas" (1996) and "It's a Wiggly Wiggly World" (2000) were both successful albums for the band.
