Special Sub-Topic: Women on Break-ups

"...itīs not fair to deny me of a cross I bear that you gave to me..."

Alanis Morisette: You Oughta Know. For me it is very suggestive text and it really makes you feel better about your break-up. It lets out your anger. The song is on the album "Jagged Little Pill".

"...you've been creepin', sneakin', sleepin' with another..."
Anastacia: Why'd you lie to me. The song is on the album "Freak of Nature".

"...so what's a girl like me to do, drowning, drowning in you..."
The Corrs: Give Me a Reason. Celine Dion has no such song as "In Blue", but it is the name of an album of The Corrs. Also, I am not aware of the existence of Madonnaīs song "Drowning in You".

"...now that you are out of my life, I'm so much better..."
Destiny's Child: Survivor. This is actually the first line of "Survivor".

"...his boots no longer by my door, he left at dawn..."
Dido: My Lover's Gone. This song is not a very popular one, released on the album "No Angel" in 1999.

"...you think that I canīt live without your love..."
Madonna: You'll See. This was the most successful song from the 1995 album "Something to Remember".

"...you and me, we used to be together, every day together, always..."
No Doubt: Don't Speak. Tkis is also the first line of a song that was written after Gwen Stefani broke up with her boyfriend.

"...Iīm cold and I am ashamed lying naked on the floor..."
Natalie Imbruglia: Torn. The song was released on the album "Left of the Middle" in 1998. It was also a very successful single.

"...it's been seven hours and fifteen days, since you took your love away..."
Sinead O'Connor: Nothing Compares 2 U. This track is on the album "So Far...The Best Of Sinead O'Connor" (1997).

"There's nothing left to try, There's no place left to hide"
Madonna: The Power of Goodbye. All of these songs are from the album "Ray of Light", released in 1998. I hope you enjoyed the quiz:o)
