8. Which Italian was substituted by the reserve goalkeeper Luca Marcheggiani, when goalkeeper Gianlluca Pagliuca got a red card against Norway?

Answer: Roberto Baggio

This decision of the Italian coach was very strange because Roberto Baggio was the best Italian player at the 1994 World Cup. He scored five goals for Italy, including the two against Bulgaria on the semifinal for Italy's 2-1 win.
