Rick Rude passed away in 1999, he managed Curt while they were both in the New World Order.

He began WCW as a part of the Four Horsemen until he turned heel at "Fall Brawl" 1997, and joined the New World Order. After the Wolfpac formed he joined them, then betrayed them at "The Great American Bash" 1998. He then rejoined the New World Order.

In 1999, he formed the West Texas Rednecks stable and then went on to be one of the henchmen for the "Powers That Be." He then tried to become a part of the New Blood, but Vince Russo didn't let him so he joined the Millionaire's Club. Then WCW went bankrupt.

He won the AWA Title from Nick Bockwinkel on the 2nd of May, 1987 in San Francisco, California. Greg Gagne defeated him on the 26th of November, 1987, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but Hennig was disqualified and retained the title. He actually lost the title to Jerry Lawler on the 9th of May, 1988, in Memphis, Tennessee.

At both of the "Royal Rumbles" he entered the 30-man "Royal Rumble" match. At "Slamboree" he lost to Shawn Stasiak, and he wasn't under contract to WCW at "Spring Stampede."

He defeated Santana in an 8 Man Tournament Final on the 23rd of April, 1990, in Austin, Texas.
