1. My first kill was on the September 26, 1939. The ship was the HMS Clement. I went on to sink such other ships as the Newton Beech, the Ashlea, the Huntsman, the Trevanion, the Doric Star and the Africa Shell before being scuttled off Montevideo in December 1939:

2. I was the prototype "panzerschiff" or "pocket battleship" ordered in 1929. In February 1940, Adolf Hitler decided to rename me. I took part in the Norwegian campaign in 1940, and in December 1942 I fought at the Battle of the Barents Sea. I spent most of the war stationed in the Baltic. On April 16, 1945 I was badly damaged by bombs at Swinemünde and on May 4th I was blown up and scuttled:
    Tirpitz

3. I served on the Non-Intervention Patrol during the Spanish Civil War in 1936-37. During November 1940, I raided in the North Atlantic and sank 17 merchant ships totaling 113,223 tons. I was finally sunk by RAF bombers in Kiel on April 9, 1945 after spending my later years stationed in the Baltic:

4. On April 9, 1940, off the coast of Norway, along with my sister ship KMS Gneisenau, I engaged in a brief fire fight with the HMS Renown and four British destroyers. Then in June 1940, we sank the British Carrier the Glorious west of Lofoten Islands. In Feb 1942, I also took part in the Famous Channel Dash:
    Scharnhorst

On May 24, 1941, I scored one hit on the HMS Hood and four hits on the HMS Prince of Wales. During the night, I was forced to leave the KMS Bismarck to her fate. I was involved in the Channel Dash and at the end of the war was ceded to the USA. They dropped and A-bomb on me at Bikini Atoll in July 1946, but still I survived!
