Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Just like "Time Crisis 2", "Time Crisis 3" allows two players to play side-by-side, and shows them moving along different routes, firing at enemies from different locations. What is the name of the agent that Player 1 controls?

Answer: Alan Dunaway

Alan Dunaway is the agent in the white jacket with red stripes on his shoulders. He has brown medium-length slicked-back hair, and has a pair of sunglasses hanging on his forehead which he never actually wears in the game. His codename is Phoenix. He is described as always having a positive and fearless attitude, never giving up and often cracks jokes in the midst of a mission to lighten up any comrades disheartened by the mission.
2. What is the name of the agent that Player 2 controls?

Answer: Wesley Lambert

Wesley is the agent with the blonde hair who wears the black and blue jacket. His codename is Pegasus. He is described as having a cool and calculated personality, is always calm, and is a very good strategist. He and Alan joined the VSSE at roughly around the same time, and despite their different personalities, they have worked very well as a team.
3. One of the new features of "Time Crisis 3" was the weapon-change system, where the player had the option of four different weapons, which they could change by pulling the trigger whilst they are hidden. Which of the following is NOT one of the available weapons?

Answer: Missile Launcher

The weapons are the Handgun, Machinegun, Shotgun and Grenade Launcher. The handgun, although the weakest of the weaponry, is the only weapon with unlimited ammunition, and plays just like the classic "Time Crisis" handgun. The other weapons, although limited in ammunition, do not require a player to reload unless they run out of ammo with that particular weapon, in which case they need to change their weapon.

A player can gain extra ammunition by shooting certain enemies, gaining more ammo the more times they shoot them, and also regain some ammo at the end of each stage. Ammunition for certain weapons, like the Grenade Launcher, are much rarer than others.
4. The players aren't the only ones to have received a larger variety of weaponry however. Returning villain Wild Dog, the only character to have appeared in every "Time Crisis" game, also has a new collection of weaponry from which replace his missing arm. Which of the following is one of Wild Dog's new weapons?

Answer: Flamethrower

Wild Dog's returning weapons are his chaingun from "Time Crisis 2" and "Project: Titan", and one of his pistols that he used from the first two "Time Crisis" games. He has inherited a flamethrower and a grenade launcher, which are alternative arnaments for his missing arm. He also sets off explosives in certain parts of the battlefield like he has in previous games. Unlike in the first two games however, because of his grenade launcher, Wild Dog no longer throws hand grenades, and furthermore, because he fights alongside his apprentice Wild Fang, who favours kicks and martial arts, Wild Dog no longer uses his own martial arts skills. Another possible reason for this might be because he has aged, which is visible through the fact that his hair has gotten slightly grey.

Note that the question asked for one of Wild Dog's "NEW" weapons, not one of the ones he's had in the previous games, hence why the correct answer is flamethrower and not chaingun.
5. Wild Dog does not fight alone this time. He fights alongside his apprentice Wild Fang, who wears the same clothing as Wild Dog but with a red shirt. Wild Fang has the ability to kick large objects towards the player(s), but which one of these is NOT an object that Wild Fang kicks at the player(s)?

Answer: Bricks

The objects that Wild Fang kicks towards the player(s) range from metal boxes, metal frames, tyres, and even forklifts. Aside from this, Wild Fang also tries to kick the player(s) in the same manner Wild Dog used to in the earlier "Time Crisis" games. Aside from using his legs, Wild Fang also tries to shoot the player(s) using a pistol identical to Wild Dog's.

It is possible that the pistol Wild Fang uses is the second pistol Wild Dog used to use when he still had two arms and wielded dual pistols in the original "Time Crisis" game.
6. Another new feature to "Time Crisis 3" is the inclusion of lifebars for certain enemies. In previous "Time Crisis" games, only bosses and vehicles were able to withstand more than one shot, but in the third game, certain enemies need to be shot more than once to be defeated. Which of the following enemies does NOT have to be shot more than once with the handgun to be killed?

Answer: Knife thrower

Although certain enemies may be tougher than others, it is easy to get around using some of the special weapons, or by just shooting them multiple times if you're fast enough. Although this might sound tough, it isn't actually as tough as it sounds because most standard enemies with lifebars take lots of damage when shot even by the handgun.

The missile launcher enemies for example only require two shots, and even those that require five or six shots to kill will fall quickly if a player lays several handgun rounds into them.
7. How many tanks do you fight in Stage 3 - Area 1?

Answer: Two

The player(s) faces two tanks during the middle of Stage 3 - Area 1, one after the other. The player(s) doesn't face the tanks alone however, because many enemy soldiers will be firing at them at the same time, though when a tank is destroyed, the explosion will also kill the surrounding soldiers. As one would expect, tanks require a lot of firepower to bring down, and so it is advisable to use some of the special weapons against them.

You also face a few tanks during Stage 3 - Area 3 during the fight against Georgio Zott, ones that shoot energy beams at the player.
8. Who is the final boss of "Time Crisis 3"?

Answer: Georgio Zott

The commander of the Zagorian troops, Georgio Zott appears as a man in a black military officer uniform with slicked back hair and a moustache. His weapons are a submachinegun and a sword, and he is deadly with both of them. He appears in several cutscenes during Stage 3, but the player(s) don't fight him until Stage 3 - Area 3, the final area of the game.
9. When brought down to his final lifebar, the final boss takes up a new weapon to try and finish the job. What is this weapon?

Answer: Two Rocket Launchers

After the player(s) defeat the energy tanks, they move on to the final scene against Georgio, where he down from the lowering bridge whilst the screen slowly pans in towards him, firing at the players frantically with a pair of rocket launchers. Once he is defeated, he will drop the rocket launchers and drop down to his knees.

The final area will then end, bringing the player(s) to the game's ending.
10. During the cutscene prior to Stage 2 - Area 2, the two agents are shown walking through an area with waterfalls. Wesley then asks Alan "Are you sure we're going the right way?" What is Alan's response?

Answer: "Actually, I was just following you"

Wesley's response to Alan's answer is rather humourous, but as soon as the two agents question their location, they are attacked by enemy soldiers. Both agents quickly duck for cover, before a shot of Wesley is shown and he says "I guess we came to the right place then". Following this, the cutscene ends and gameplay will begin.
11. Which one of these is NOT a weapon used by Victor Zahn, the boss of Stage 1?

Answer: Sledgehammer

Victor Zahn is a large hulking individual who attacks the player from out the back of his large fighter plane. He shoots the player with his machinegun throughout the majority of Stage 1 - Area 3, and later ends up using a large minigun, and even some grenades.
12. The boss of Stage 2 is a red-clad ninja with a sharp talon whom the agents fight whilst on the back of a ruined train. His surname is Garrett, but what is this boss's forename?

Answer: Randy

Randy Garrett fights the players alongside his retinue of yellow-clad ninjas, who wield nearly identical weapons to Randy himself. They move at a great speed, making them hard to hit, and attack the player with series' of quick claw-attacks, whilst Randy himself also fires missiles at the player(s).
13. The console port of "Time Crisis 3" allows the player to fight against the agents Alan and Wesley.

Answer: True

This happens in the console feature "Crisis Mission". Crisis Mission pits the player as a new agent in the VSSE (never seen due to the game's first person perspective) and has them performing certain missions, following which the player will receive points afterwards, and cannot advance to the next set of missions until they have completed a certain number of missions from the previous one.
14. The Playstation 2 port of "Time Crisis 3" featured a side-mode called "Rescue Mission", where the player plays as supporting character Alicia Winston, a member of the Lukano Liberation army attempting to rescue her captured brother Daniel, who is a general in the Liberation army. The final boss of this mode is Jake Hernandez, but what relation is does Jake have to Alicia?

Answer: A mole in the Lukano Liberation army

Jake Hernandez was a member of the Lukano Liberation army, but he later ended up betraying them to the Zagoras Federation, and it is because of him that Daniel Winston was captured. Alicia defeats him in the end after freeing her brother, which is also seen in the cutscene prior to Stage 3 - Area 2.
15. During the Rescue Mission mode on the Playstation 2, the player also gets to use a weapon unique to Alicia that they wouldn't normally be able to use when playing the normal game. What is this weapon?

Answer: Sniper Rifle

Some of the levels when playing as Alicia require the player to use a Sniper Rifle, including one level where you need to shoot Giorgio Zott's gun out of his hand to stop him from shooting Daniel Winston. The use of the Sniper Rifle is later revamped in the sequel "Time Crisis 4".
