Because it is so hot, I head to the local hotel where a laconic barman won't tell me the name of this coastal town. All he cryptically says is, 'It is a former facial feature'. 5. The X-Ray Traveler takes me back to Europe where I land gently near a water tower. The altimeter says I'm at 558m above sea level. A friendly local welcomes me to the highest point in her country, which she calls the 'Buurgplaatz'. She also tells me I'm in Luxembourg, which is very close to Germany, France and Belgium. 6. I now zap across the Atlantic Ocean to North America. I land in a park in a very large city. A local starts talking to me and I think he's speaking Spanish. Realizing I don't understand, he kindly switches to English. He tells me that this city is on a high plateau and was originally built around Lake Texcoco by the Aztecs. Which city am I in? A friendly local in this small city tells me a tale of steamboats on the Red River. The city was founded in 1873 at the junction of two railroad lines.
