Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which "rattlesnake" came to the ring as "Raw" began on September 25, 2000, making his first appearance on "Raw" in almost a year?

Answer: Stone Cold Steve Austin

Austin talked about many of the events that took place while he was away and most notably, about how he was trying to find the person that ran him over with a car the previous November at the "Survivor Series" Pay Per View. Commissioner Mick Foley then came to ring and told Austin that while he could conduct his investigation as he pleased, he should not physically abuse other superstars. Chris Benoit joined the segment next and demanded a WWF Heavyweight title match later in the night against The Rock, which was granted by Foley. Kurt Angle also made an appearance, and in the end, both Angle and Benoit received a "Stone Cold Stunner" from Austin.

Stone Cold spent most of the night confronting various individuals backstage. The Undertaker was quick to say that he knew nothing about who ran Austin over, while Triple H (accompanied by Stephanie McMahon) similarly swore that he wasn't responsible. Austin also confronted Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco, but Austin concluded that they didn't run him over because neither had the guts to do so.
2. Which two large superstars competed against each other on the September 25, 2000 episode of "Raw", with their match ending in a "No Contest"?

Answer: Kane and Rikishi

The opening match of "Raw's" first episode on TNN was rather underwhelming. It featured Kane and Rikishi facing each other. The two superstars started brawling on the ramp before the bell even rang. Then, shortly after the match officially began, referee Theodore Long stopped the match after it got out of control when Kane brought in a steel chair. Both wrestlers were disqualified, so nobody won the match.
3. In which odd location (which Mick Foley was using as an office) did Edge and Christian talk to Mick Foley about their upcoming tag team match?

Answer: Bathroom

Strangely, Commissioner Foley was using a bathroom as his office during this episode of "Raw". Edge and Christian complained about being booked for a Ladder Match between themselves and the Hardy Boyz later that night because they had just competed in a cage match the night before. Foley said that if they didn't win the tag team titles in this match, they would never get another shot. Clearly, Edge and Christian were not amused despite Foley's attempts to joke around.
4. Which of the following gave Mick Foley a tip in a segment on the September 25, 2000 episode of "Raw"?

Answer: An arena employee

A female arena employee who was in the bathroom stall next to Foley's "office" flushed the toilet, then came out and said: "that was very funny Mr. Foley" (in reference to Foley's comments to Edge and Christian). She then paid a tip into Foley's tip jar.
5. Who gave Jerry Lawler a "DDT" on the September 25, 2000 episode of "Raw" during the match between Bubba Ray Dudley and Tazz?

Answer: Raven

While Tazz and Bubba Ray Dudley were wrestling, Raven surprised Jerry Lawler at the announce table and gave him a painful "DDT" onto the floor. Raven then attacked Bubba Ray Dudley, allowing Tazz to get the pin and win the match despite Dudley's early advantage. While at the WWF/WWE, Raven won the Hardcore Championship more than twenty times.
6. Which one of the Hardy brothers climbed the ladder and grabbed the belts to retain the WWF Tag Team Championships in their Ladder Match against Edge and Christian?

Answer: Matt Hardy

With the WWF World Tag Team titles at stake, the Ladder Match between the Hardy Boyz and Edge and Christian was expected to be great. The match delivered and was quite intense. It included chair shots, powerbombs, and even outside interference by Lita.

In the end, Matt Hardy managed to climb the ladder and grab the hanging belts, therefore winning the match. Per Foley's earlier comments, this also meant that Edge and Christian would not get another shot at the titles in the near future.
7. Who won the First Blood Match between Chris Jericho and X-Pac after one used a piece of glass against his opponent?

Answer: X-Pac

This brief match had the stipulation that the wrestler who made his opponent bleed first would win. After each superstar inflicted some damage on the other, X-Pac took a glass bottle that he found outside the ring and smashed Chris Jericho's head with it. He then used one of the pieces from the broken bottle to injure Jericho and cause him to bleed, therefore winning the match.
8. Following the WWF Intercontinental Championship match, whose work did William Regal start reading from in the ring?

Answer: Shakespeare

William Regal, who is British, announced that he was going to read "Hamlet" by William Shakespeare, in order to provide the American audience with some culture. He was soon interrupted by the sound of glass breaking from Stone Cold's theme song. Austin interrupted Regal and promptly gave him a "Stone Cold Stunner" before leaving the ring.
9. Which finisher did The Rock use to ultimately defeat Chris Benoit and retain his WWF World Heavyweight Championship?

Answer: Rock Bottom

Chris Benoit dominated some portions of his title match against The Rock, but Benoit did not succeed in winning the championship. Instead, The Rock remained champion after delivering a "Rock Bottom" to Benoit and pinning him for the win. Triple H helped in Benoit's defeat because he distracted him, then violently grabbed his head and jerked it over the ropes.

This action made Benoit walk right into the "Rock Bottom".
10. Which member of the McMahon family did Chris Benoit headbutt just before "Raw" went off the air on September 25, 2000?

Answer: Stephanie McMahon

Following his failed attempt to win the championship, an upset Benoit gave Stephanie McMahon (Triple H's wife) a headbutt after she had slapped Kurt Angle. This would lead to a match between Benoit and Triple H at "No Mercy 2000", which Triple H would win. "Raw" would continue airing on TNN (which later changed its name to Spike TV) until 2005, when the show returned to the USA Network.
