The sentence is an allusion to poet William Congreve's quote, 'Music has charms to soothe a savage breast, to soften rocks, or bend a knotted oak.'

'The rhythmic ocean tides in Long Branch, N.*J. eb*b and flow like this character's loyalty to Max.' Without giving away too much, let's say that Jeb is a complex character. He watched over the Flock for three years but then seems to have turned against them. Is it possible that he orchestrated the kidnapping of little Angel? Also, I used to live in Long Branch - what a great place to grow up!

'This violent Eraser is akin to the vicious barb*ari*ans who attacked the gentle Inuit people without warning or remorse.' Ari wasn't born bad; he was 'made' that way. He is jealous of Max and the others, and his jealousy fuels his hatred. An 'experiment' himself, his wolf DNA adds to his anger and aggression against the Flock.

'When some cru*el la*ddies were trying to harm this character, one of the Flock stepped in and kicked some bully butt!' Ella was on her way home when she was attacked by some local bullies. Too bad for them that Max happened to be in the vicinity! One thing Max hates worse than Erasers is bullies! Max is magnificent!

'The van this character drove needed platinu*m ax*les to endure the punishment it went through.' You didn't think I would make a quiz without including my favorite heroine did you? This sentence refers to Max's first attempt at driving, which was an adventure in itself!
