The Eurythmics was formed in 1980 by Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart. "Its Alright (Baby's Coming Back)" was from their 1985 album "Be Yourself Tonight" and was their tenth single to hit the UK top 20.
In 1987, the song won the Ivor Novello award for Best Contemporary Song, beating nominees "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel, and "West End Girls" by Pet Shop Boys. Lennox and Stewart also won the Ivor Novello award for Songwriters of the Year. In 2020 they were inducted into The Songwriters Hall of Fame.
