Ben Folds Five's first LP was released in 1995 on Caroline Records. It was produced by Caleb Southern. The first track is entitled "Jackson Cannery."

Video footage from their first gig at Ziggy's was once featured on the VH1 program "Before They Were Rock Stars."

Ben Folds Five performed their cover of Steely Dan's "Barrytown" on "Late Night With David Letterman" in July 2000. It was after this performance that they decided to call it quits, according to Australian radio host Andy Lee.
