Answer: Benito Santiago

Santiago hit in 34 consecutive games as a rookie for the San Diego Padres in 1987 to set the record.
2. Which of these players retired with eight career bases-loaded triples, a record upon his retirement?

Answer: Shano Collins

Collins retired in 1925 with 8, all as a White Sox; Stan Musial came close, but finished with 7.
3. Which of these pitchers started 240 games without ever coming out of the bullpen?

Answer: Juan Guzman

Both Tom Glavine and Tim Hudson had started more games than Guzman's 240, who retired in 2000. McBride started in 237 from 1871-1876. Radke only had one relief appearance.
4. Connie Mack set records among MLB managers for most games won, most games lost, and most games managed in MLB history. From 1900-2000, who managed the most games without ever recording a win?

Answer: Moose Stubing

Stubing went 0-8 for the Angels in 1988. He also played for the Angels in 1967, going 0-5 at the plate. The other three choices went 0-1, including Braves' owner Ted Turner.

Answer: Lefty Grove

Grove did it in 1928 for the Philadelphia Athletics. Ryan and Koufax also did it twice in their careers, but they both did it in two different seasons.

The Tigers' Newhouser was the first pitcher to have won consecutive MVP awards, having done so from 1944-1945 and then finishing second in 1946.

Answer: Mel Ott

The other three all were the youngest twice. Giants' great Mel Ott was only 17 when he was called up in 1926. When he retired in 1947 at the age of 38, he was the 9th oldest player in the National League.
8. Who was the first player to have 100 RBIs in three consecutive seasons, playing for a different team each season?

Answer: Joe Carter

Carter did it for the Indians in 1989, Padres in 1990, and Blue Jays in 1991.
9. Which of these stadiums existed for the most number of years without ever hosting a regular season no-hitter?

Answer: Forbes Field

In its 61-year history from 1909-1970, there was never a no-no in Pittsburgh's Forbes Field. It took only until the second season in Three River's Stadium for one to occur.
10. Who was the first player to play in 150 games in a season without achieving 50 singles?

Answer: Barry Bonds

Bonds only had 49 singles in 2001, or 24 less than the amount of home runs he hit. McGwire barely passed the magic number in 1997.
