Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The protagonist begins the game with the persona Izanagi. Izanagi is equipped with Electric attacks and predictably resists Electric himself. What is Izanagi weak to?

Answer: Wind

This dynamic is given many parallels, as every teammate in the game will resist their own offensive typing while being weak to its counterpart-- Fire vs Ice, Wind vs Lightning and so on.
2. Yosoke Hanumara is the first person who can fight alongside the protagonist. His persona, Jiraiya, makes predominant use of Wind magic. What is Yosoke weak to?

Answer: Lightning

When reaching rank 10 with Yosoke in his social, he will gain the "Evade Elec" skill which can help deal with this.
3. Chie Satonaka is the party's first recipient (not counting the protagonist) of an insta-kill skill. Which insta-kill skill can Chie learn?

Answer: Hama

Hama has a 30% chance to instantly kill a single target. If the target is weak to Light, this chance skyrockets up to being virtually guaranteed.
4. If you're having an annoying time with a foe who resists Yukiko Amagi's magic, fret not as she is the first character, not counting the protagonist, to gain a "break" skill. Which break skill does Yukiko gain?

Answer: Fire Break

Yukiko's stats are such where she is clearly the powerhouse of the team, not counting the protagonist. As such, she stands to get the most value out of a Break spell, which can remove an enemy's resistance to Fire.
5. Kanji Tatsumi's melee weapon of choice isn't particularly elegant, but it sure is brutal. What weapon does he wield?

Answer: Table

His default weapon is quite literally just a desk he stole from Yasogami high school. This, of course, gets upgraded as the game progresses should the player buy him new gear, but his weapon always remains a table of some kind.
6. After recruiting Kanji, the team can eventually rescue and recruit the idol Rise Kujikawa. What is Rise weak to?

Answer: Nothing

Rise inherits the role of navigator and, as such, does not participate in combat directly.
7. Naoto Shirogane will join the team as the last new member. Uniquely, the player will really need to be careful at how they handle her social link. Of the members of the Inaba Investigation Team, what is Naoto exclusive for?

Answer: Being able to reverse her social link

If the player tells Naoto "you're on your own" when she asks for help with investigating a strange, mysterious note, she will get angry and her social will enter a Reverse state. If this happens, the player must spend three days hanging out with Naoto to no social benefit to leave the Reverse state, where they can then return to raising the social again.

This uniquely does carry on even to New Game Plus, so the player will want to promptly address this before finishing their playthrough.
8. When first meeting Teddie, he tries to aid Narukami and Yosoke, but he almost gets them killed accidentally leading them to an extremely dangerous area. Where does Teddie inadvertently guide the two towards?

Answer: A house inhabited by a serial killer

Though the player has no way of knowing it, this house would later be revealed as the de facto head quarters of the mysterious serial killer taking the role of the game's antagonist. It's a good thing then, that they were able to leave before being spotted.
9. Towards the end of the game, the team will have the opportunity to carry out an extremely controversial action-- the main suspect for the murders taking place is vulnerable, and the team can throw him into the TV to meet certain death if they so choose. If the player decides to do this, what happens?

Answer: They immediately get the "bad ending"

As it happens, Naratame is not the serial killer, so throwing him into the TV prevents this information from coming to light. With the actual serial killer being allowed to roam free with zero chance of retribution, he would end up going into hiding for long enough that the protagonist is forced to leave Inaba and return to his home.

The game will now end without the investigation ever being completed, Nanako Dojima will remain dead and the last dungeon of the entire game will be barred off, as the player will be forced into New Game Plus.
10. At the end of the game, the player has a crucial decision to make with the help of their team. They must, having gathered all the information they could, formally accuse one person of being the serial killer. Who is the serial killer?

Answer: Tohru Adachi

If the player guesses anyone else, they will unfortunately receive the "bad ending". The exception to this is if the player guesses Nanako, as the game will not allow you to actually accuse her of being the killer for the obvious reason that she's a sickly, hospitalized seven year old girl.

As it happens, Adachi turns out to be the killer. Guessing him will seal the player's ability to proceed to the game's final dungeon.
