Disney Monopoly Trivia Questions

1. Jafar, Scar and Hook

From Quiz
Disney Monopoly Tokens

Answer: Villains

Produced in 2020 by Hasbro, there are six tokens in "Monopoly Disney Villains Edition" with the other three being Cruella de Vil, The Evil Queen and Maleficent. Rather than buying properties, the players hire villains. The more villains hired, the more rent that can be collected. In a change to the standard game, each token character has its own special ability which is activated the Flames of Power ring. This means that choosing the right token at the beginning of the game gives a player an advantage. Only one die makes its harder to avoid paying rent.

2. Which classic Disney cartoon is one of the red properties?

From Quiz Disney Monopoly

Answer: Steamboat Willie

"Steamboat Willie" was the first Mickey Mouse cartoon, made in 1928. This property takes the place of Kentucky Avenue in the original Monopoly board. Both places cost $220.

3. Queen of Hearts, Hades and Ursula

From Quiz Disney Monopoly Tokens

Answer: Villains Henchmen

The "Villains Henchmen Edition" came out in 2021. The three listed appear as follows: Queen of Hearts in "Alice in Wonderland" (1951), Hades in "Hercules" (1997) and Ursula in "The Little Mermaid" (1989). The other three tokens are Tamatoa (from "Moana" (2016)), Yzma ("The Emperor's New Groove" (2000)) and Dr. Facilier ("The Princess and the Frog" (2009)). Similar to the Villains Edition, it is about hiring villains rather than buying property. Thorn thickets replace houses and lairs are bought instead of hotels. Poison Apple cards replace the Community Chest cards.

4. Ariel, Rapunzel and Cinderella

From Quiz Disney Monopoly Tokens

Answer: Princess

Coming with its custom (and very pink) board, there are just the four princesses with Belle completing the list. The game play involves buying princess-themed properties such as Mulan's Shan-Yu School, Jasmine's Magic Carpet Ride and Merida's Archery Lessons. A simpler version than the villainous ones, the one with the most property at the end wins.

5. What is the newest Disney movie on the board?

From Quiz Disney Monopoly

Answer: Tarzan

"Tarzan" was released in 1999. It is one of the dark purple properties, and it is in the place of Mediterranean Avenue.

6. Which Disney character is on the money?

From Quiz Disney Monopoly

Answer: Scrooge McDuck

The values of the money are the same in both games. The original Monopoly and Disney Monopoly have $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100, and $500. The colours are also similar.

7. Kylo Ren, Asaj Ventress and the Grand Inquisitor

From Quiz Disney Monopoly Tokens

Answer: Star Wars Dark Side

There are a few Star Wars-themed Monopoly games available and Star Wars Dark Side is a Disney-branded one. The missing Sith tokens are those for Darth Vader, The Emperor and Darth Maul. As with the Villains Edition, each Sith has a unique power which is activated by the Force Lightning ring when passing Go. Gameplay involves recruiting villains, buying TIE fighters and amassing Imperial Credits. The winner is the one who bankrupts the others.

8. What colour are the dice?

From Quiz Disney Monopoly

Answer: It depends on the copy of the game

The dice are transparent with white dots, but both blue and red dice have been shipped with game (other colors may have been used as well). The transparent dice add to the beautiful appeal of the game.

9. Elsa, Olaf, and Sven

From Quiz Disney Monopoly Tokens

Answer: Frozen 2

The tokens which players can use represent Elsa, Anna, Hans, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven. Properties bought are inspired by scenes from the movie. Some differences - a player can activate Elsa's powers by sharing a favourite family memory, and landing on the Snowflake space or drawing a certain Chance card allows a player to double a property's rent by placing the Snowflake token on it. There are 32 village dwellings and 12 castles that can be bought for the 22 properties.

10. Instead of Electric Company and Water Works, Disney Monopoly has two magic powers. What are the two powers?

From Quiz Disney Monopoly

Answer: Magic wand and pixie dust

The magic powers are both $150, the same price as the utilities. The magic wand comes from "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", which was featured in the movie "Fantasia". Pixie dust is Tinkerbell's power, of course.

11. Remy, Mr. Incredible and Nemo

From Quiz Disney Monopoly Tokens
