Fun Trivia
Here you will find quizzes on stage musicals whose titles start with the letter K, and for which we do not have enough quizzes to justify setting up a separate category for each one. If you find a favorite musical here, perhaps you'd like to write another quiz on it, so it can have a category of its own.

"The King And I" is based on Margaret Landon's novel, "Anna And The King Of Siam". It was written as a vehicle for stage star, Gertrude Lawrence. Although she was billed as the star, the man who played the King overshadowed Gertrude's performance, and stole the show from her. Yul Brynner would spend most of his lifetime playing this role.

From Quiz Kristina från Duvemåla

Answer: Lice

One morning, a horrified Kristina discovers lice on her body and, still wary and prejudiced about Ulrika, blames her. Ulrika protests, and indeed does not have a louse on her. An old woman, Fina-Kajsa (the comic relief) distracts everyone by telling a story of how the louse was created. The song "Löss" ("Lice") features both incredibly fast articulation (from Kristina and Ulrika) and large coloratura-like intervals (from Fina-Kajsa). It is also reminiscent of rock music.

"Suddenly Lucky" was replaced with "I'm In Love With A Wonderful Guy". "Boys And Girls Like You And Me" has had a history of being cut. Not only was it cut from "Oklahoma!", it was also cut from the MGM films "Meet Me In St. Louis" and "Take Me Out To The Ball Game". It was added to the score of "Cinderella" for the King and Queen, but was also cut from that in the original 1957 television broadcast. "Boys And Girls Like You And Me" finally found a "home" in the 1996 Broadway production of "State Fair". It was sung by John Davidson and Kathryn Crosby in the roles of Abel And Melissa Frake. "The Loneliness Of Evening" was sung by Stuart Damon as the Prince in the 1964 television version of "Cinderella".
