2. What was the name of the man wearing the big black coat, who James shot?

From Quiz The Recruit

Answer: Zack

James went into the C.I.A. to hopefully get more information on his father from Walter Burke. Zack was one of the people who attended the Farm with James. James saw a man and Layla exchange information, and thought that the man in the coat, who turned out to be Zack, was an enemy.

3. What year was James informed that his father died?

From Quiz The Recruit

Answer: 1990

4. What is the CIA training facility called?

From Quiz The Recruit

Answer: The Farm

"The Farm" is the CIA training facility located in rural Virginia. In the movie the recruits are taken here to be trained in everything it takes to be a spy. Burke tells the recruits, "You have all just stepped through the looking glass. What you see, what you hear - nothing is what it seems." In reality the base is called Camp Peary and is referred to officially as the Armed Forces Experimental Training Activity. Although it has this designation it is believed to be the secret training facility for the CIA.

5. What was the name of the program that James used at the beginning and tried to use at the end of the movie?

From Quiz The Recruit

Answer: Sp@rtacus & Spartacus

Sp@rtacus is a computer program that is used to broadcast an event in another place (such as a television or another computer). At the end of the movie, James was trying to use Sp@rtacus to try to frame Walter into telling the C.I.A. how he has been a double agent the whole time.

6. At one point in the training, Burke, Al Pacino's character, tells the recruits about the highest position an agent can attain, becoming a NOC. What does NOC stand for?

From Quiz The Recruit

Answer: Non-Official Cover Operative

There are two types of agents - Official Cover Operatives and Non-Official Cover Operatives. Official Cover Operatives get diplomatic immunity and work out of embassies or Langley. 9. Finish this quote said by Walter at the end of the movie: "I'm a scary judge of ______."

Answer: talent

Walter Burke uses this saying multiple times during the film. This is actually one of the last things that he says before he gets shot by the many members of the C.I.A. who were waiting outside the warehouse. 10. What was the name of the program that Burke wanted?

From Quiz The Recruit

James knew something was up, and later found out that Burke was a double agent who wanted the real program.

11. According to Burke, what is Rule Number One?

From Quiz The Recruit

Answer: Do not get caught

Several times in the movie Burke says his number one rule is don't get caught. One of the first tests is to enter a house and place bugs without getting caught. Only Clayton succeeds. He is released from the program after his failure.

12. Who explained Burke's master plan?

From Quiz The Recruit

Answer: Himself

James told Burke that Sp@rtacus broadcasted him to the C.I.A., but the program did not load. The officers shone a flashlight in Walter's face to see who it was. It was then that Walter spilled his guts. The officers actually came for James, but Burke thought it was for him. The C.I.A. shot Burke after he revealed his plan.

13. Who wrote the message to recommend the removal of James Clayton after the torturing test?

From Quiz The Recruit

Answer: Walter Burke
