John Lennon and Ringo Starr arrived at the studio after the recording and John Lennon was not very pleased. He hated it when Paul McCartney recorded without the rest of The Beatles.

Paul McCartney first heard the phrase "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da", which means "life goes on," from a Nigerian Congo player named Jimmy Anonmuogharan Scott Emuakpor, who played in the band Bad Manners. Jimmy sued to recover royalties but was thereafter put in jail for unpaid spousal support. The suit was settled when Paul paid the back support and he and Jimmy remained friends thereafter. "Desmond has a barrow in the marketplace, Molly is the singer in a band, Desmond says to Molly, girl I like you face and Molly says this as she takes him by the hand, Ob-la-di, ob-la-da,life goes on, bra, la la how the life goes on."

He went out tiger hunting with his elephant and gun. In case of accidents he always took his mom. He's the all American bullet-headed Saxon mother's son, all the children sing."

John Sings: "Sexy Sadie what have you done You made a fool of everyone You made a fool of everyone Sexy Sadie ooh what have you done" "Sexy Sadie" was the last song that John Lennon wrote before leaving Rishikesh, India. He wrote it about Maharishi Mahesh Yogi after he had allegedly made sexual advances to one of the female members attending a course at his ashram. John Lennon originally wanted to call the song "Maharishi" but George Harrison who did not believe the story persuaded him to change the title.
