Answer: Ten

Although this series originally started with eleven queens in the competition it was discovered that grounds for disqualification needed to be enforced for one of the contestants, resulting in their removal from the show before the start of the third episode's filming. What resulted was clever editing on the part of the show's creative team, allowing the first two episodes to feature the ten viable competitors without the need for reshoots or awkwardness. This series, the show's fifth, had the lowest number of queens (ten), matching the debut series back in 2019.

At the start of this special edition season of "RuPaul's Drag Race", Ru and company headed to the UK to search for a worldwide superstar amongst queens featured in "Drag Race" franchises from across the globe. What resulted was nine queens from five countries, all representing different styles of drag and all battling for the crown. Coming face to face with each other on the main stage, they sized each other up and commenced the competition.

As with the previous series, a dozen queens from all around the UK were brought into the workroom with the aim to impress RuPaul and become the UK's next drag superstar. Of note, this series of the show was filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic, requiring a number of protocol be followed before and during the production. Additionally, this was the first instance hosted by RuPaul in which a cisgender female contestant competed-- Victoria Scone took the honour when she walked into the workroom.

While the first series only featured ten queens, this sophomore run of episodes upped the game with a dozen queens from England, Wales, and Scotland, all heading to the workroom and runway to prove themselves as UK's new face of drag. For the first episode, the queens needed to bring two looks to the runway, the first being a look inspired by their UK gay icon and the second with the theme 'Queen of Your Hometown'. The bottom two in this first episode were Bimini Bon-Boulash and burlesque performer Joe Black with the latter going home.

For Ru's first trip across the pond, the contestant field shrunk from the larger groups in the U.S. iteration of the show to a meagre ten UK queens, all from different corners of the British Isles, who would vie to become the UK's next drag superstar. Excluding "All-Stars" seasons of the U.S. show, this was the first season of "RuPaul's Drag Race" (since the inaugural season) to feature so few contestants. Season 1 in the U.S. had only nine queens.

Although most episodes generally only feature a Lip Sync For Your Life, RuPaul also implored the top two of the premiere episode to Lip Sync For the Win. The queens had to introduce themselves by bringing two looks to the runway. For the first, they provided the typical 'Queen of Your Home Town' premiere runway but for the second, they walked in a look inspired by their favourite things. Victoria Scone and Krystal Versace won the episode before singing to Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" (giving Krystal the RuPeter Badge). The bottom two, Anubis and Elektra Fence, sung to "Sweet Melody" by Little Mix with Anubis being the first to go home.

Answer: Cats

To commence this episode, the eleven remaining queens were asked to vote for their selections in the way of Secretary of Shade, Trade Minister, Leader of the House of Loading It Up, and Baroness Basic. Since Tia Kofi was chosen as Baroness Basic, she got to choose all the roles for the subsequent Rusical, "Rats", a clear and obvious parody of "Cats". It worked out in her favour since she excelled in the play alongside Veronica Green and Ellie Diamond. On the mainstage, the queens produced their best surprise garments for the runway and the bottom two, Tayce and Cherry Valentine, lipsynced to "Memories" before Cherry was sent packing.

Answer: Yum

Nine queens were asked to split themselves into two slightly-uneven groups in week three so that they could write the lyrics to the newly-made song "Don't Ick My Yum", performing it on the main stage with choreography they pulled together for the judges. Ru and the panel decided that both groups-- Fierce Force Five and The M-52s-- managed strong performances and, as such, sent no one home this week. Instead, frontrunners (and real-life roommates) Cara Melle and Tomara Thomas competed for the RuPeter Badge with Cara taking the win.

Answer: It was done in pairs

Episode three saw the ten remaining queens split into pairs as determined by a bingo spinner and with their new partners they had to select a coloured box (B, I, N, G, or O) and use the materials inside to create outfits to match their partner in style and shade. Baby and Dakota Schiffer, who received black as their colour, managed to wow the judges with their designs, each receiving a RuPeter Badge for their presentation on the runway. The bottom two were split out-- Copper Topp with gold and Black Peppa with green-- to lip sync; Copper was asked to sashay away.

Answer: Victoria Scone

After an injury sustained during her lip sync for the win in episode one, Victoria Scone struggled to participate in the physically active second episode (the RuSical themed around a drag Peloton device) before it was advised she be removed from the show. Ultimately, she was provided with an open invitation to "Drag Race UK" Series 4, but she would not be able to proceed in the competition this time around. This didn't abate the proceeding elimination; preceding returnee Veronica Green was eliminated in the same episode on the back of a design challenge.

Answer: Downton Abbey

With nine queens left, the competition shifted from fashion into acting as the participants split into two teams to film melodramatic scenes from "Downton Draggy". What resulted, after a Bond Girl-themed runway, was a loss for the team of five consisting of Scaredy Cat, Blu Hydrangea, Cheryl Hole, Crystal, and Divina Di Campo. The ones who fell to their bottom for lacklustre performances were Scaredy and Blu, and after a lip sync to Bananarama's "Venus", Scaredy, the youngest in the competition and the only competitor never to perform live, was sent home in ninth place.

Answer: Alan Carr

With nine queens left in the show, the contestants were put into three trios and told to prepare for a day of improv on the set of the Alan Carr-hosted talk show "Catty Man". In each case, the queens would be given a prompt in advance, told to dress the part, act their characters, and lean into the interviews that would unfold for outrageous tabloid topics. On the main stage, the queens brought their hair-themed 'Mane Event' looks and Danny Beard won the episode. The bottom this time went to Baby and Sminty Drop with Baby winning out lip syncing Mel & Kim's "Respectable".

Answer: Big Drag Energy

Rolling off the major success of the first two girl group challenges of series past, the queens of Series 3 divided out into two teams of four to take on different versions of the original track "Big Drag Energy". Interestingly, this was the first time in which both teams performed different versions of the same song. Although they had to create original lyrics and choreography, one team had a more upbeat version of the song and the other had a down-tempo remix. The latter won, granting its four teammates RuPeter Badges. Charity Kase and Scarlett Harlett dropped to the bottom to sing "Who Do You Think You Are" by the Spice Girls, but both were saved.

Originally filming in early 2020, the production of "RuPaul's Drag Race UK" season 2 was halted after four episodes. As soon as the queens went back to the workroom following the fourth runway (during which Ginny Lemon quit the competition), they were informed via an emergency message that they would no longer be filming until the conditions were more favourable. The wait ended up being seven months during which the queens had the opportunity to amp up their drag with any resources they could during their lockdown.

Answer: A car boot sale

The third week was all about design, and after a brief dance around the maypole, the queens went straight to work pulling all that they could out of a car boot (and stripping the car down at the same time) to craft their own garments for the runway. What resulted was two of the older contestants of the season, friends Sum Ting Wong and Vinegar Strokes, falling to the bottom and going head-to-head in the lip sync for their lives to Eurythmics' "Would I Lie to You?". Strokes went home after her second time in the bottom.

Answer: Pantomime

It was time for 'Pant-Oh She Better Don't: The Rusical' as the queens neared the midway point of the competition, and after assigning their own roles they hit the main stage for choreography and live singing in what the judges determined was one of the best Rusicals to come from the show. After celebrating the grand tradition of pantomime, the queens subsequently hit the runway in their best mirror-themed runway looks and Banksie and DeDeLicious were put in the bottom two, forced to lip sync to Susan Boyle's rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream". Early frontrunner Banksie ended up getting sent home in this episode.

Answer: Baby

Though Dakota Schiffer was anticipated to be the contestant going home after the musical-themed lip sync at the end of episode 5, Baby volunteered to leave the show, citing declining mental health as her reason for departure. It meant that despite the events of the episode, Dakota would be spared. The episode, otherwise, saw the top eight queens participating in the Rusical, this one themed around "Lairy Poppins".

Answer: There were no winners

In a rare case of poor performance, RuPaul informed the queens that their job scripting and acting in a commercial for the Draglexa device dropped them all to the bottom. After a runway themed around their most expensive drag garments, Ru sent six queens to safety and forced Charity Kase and Scarlett Harlett to go head-to-head one more time (this time to Shirley Bassey's "Big Spender"). Scarlett was allowed to stay while Charity Kase was told to sashay away.

Answer: Veronica Green

When the queens were brought back to the workroom after seven months, only seven of the eight remaining queens returned. It was only then that the girls were informed that Veronica Green, who'd previously won the 'Rats: The Rusical' challenge, had tested positive for COVID-19 in the days leading up to filming. Because of this, she was forced to be disqualified for the season, but she was given an open invitation to return for the inevitable third season of the show when filmed in early 2021. She placed ninth this season as a result.

Answer: Heart

As soon as the queens entered the back episodes of the show, Ru hit them with the news that they would be competing in the Snatch Game, bringing their finest celebrity impersonations to the panel in an attempt to make Ru and their special guests laugh. Ginger Johnson won her third challenge in a row with this, playing Dame Barbara Cartland and hitting the main stage in a garment shaped like a literal heart. DeDeLicious (who played Lady Colin Campbell) and Vicki Vivacious (who portrayed Fanny Cradock) were put in the bottom to sing Alexandra Burke's "Heartbreak on Hold" for their lip sync (in front of the artist herself). Vicki was sent home.

Answer: Stop

Leading into the back half of the competition the final seven queens made their way into a round of Snatch Game on the main stage and took their best celebrity impersonations (or similar) into the realm of comedy. Cheddar Gorgeous led the pack, delivering a take on Queen Elizabeth I before having the best look on the runway with the Tickled Pink prompt. In the bottom two, Black Peppa and Le Fil performed the Spice Girls' "Stop" in front of Mel B and the latter was eliminated, leaving only six queens to compete.

Answer: Jujubee

Musical theatre was the medium du jour in the third round of the competition after Ru forced the queens to commit to reading each other and then embark on a West End Rusical. All seven queens had to take on dedicated, parodic, and iconic West End roles with Jujubee, the winner of the mini-challenge, deciding the recipients of the parts. When the dust settled, and following a 'dot, dot, dot' inspired runway, Pangina and Janey led the pack and faced off in a lip sync to "We Like to Party!" by Vengaboys. Pangina won her second episode and, this time, sent Jimbo home over Jujubee, eliminating the front-runner.

Answer: Two & 2

In a surprise elimination, RuPaul decided that she didn't get enough fight from both bottom queens, Choriza May and River Medway, when they flunked during Snatch Game and failed to master the main stage with their 'Feeling Fruity' runway looks. After both queens, in their first time in the bottom, stumbled their way through "Shout" by Lulu and The Luvvers (in front of Lulu herself), Ru asked both to sashay away, leaving only five shocked queens still in the running.

Answer: Joe Black

In lieu of Veronica Green not being able to return, Ru allowed the first three eliminated contestants to try their hand at getting back onto the show (Ginny Lemon was excluded due to her purposeful departure), but for these queens to get back into the workroom, they had to receive the most votes from their fellow competitors, the remaining seven queens. Ultimately, five queens voted Joe back into the competition while only Bimini and A'Whora voted for Asttina Mandella. Cherry received zero votes.

Answer: Break Up (Bye Bye)

Six queens remained going into week five and following a 'Reading is Fundamental' mini-challenge, the queens were split into two groups of three, both of whom needed to create original lyrics and dance moves to be able to perform a girl group song on the main stage. Crystal, Cheryl Hole, and The Vivienne became Filth Harmony while Blu Hydrangea, Divina Di Campo, and Baga Chipz became Frock Destroyers. The latter group won the challenge this week while The Vivienne had her first lip sync for her life against second-timer Crystal. Crystal went home.

Answer: Kate Butch

In a series which saw a high number of queens win the RuPeter Badge (seven out of ten competitors), Kate Butch was the last of the bunch to get their first, doing so after the acting challenge and pajama-themed runway presentation in episode seven. Following this, only one queen remaining in the competition, DeDeLicious, did not walk away with the prize. Week seven, however, saw Cara Melle sent home after her and Michael Marouli's segment, 'Footballers' Wags', failed to impress the judges. It was Cara's fourth lip sync on the main stage, though her second time in the bottom.

Answer: Raven

With only six queens left, the stakes were raised when they had to take on the season's makeover challenge, bringing a drag family resemblance to a partner not accustomed to drag. While other series have featured family members in this role, this one had the contestants making over the Queen Team, the production assistants responsible for supporting the cast of the show. RuPaul was not present for judging in this episode, so Michelle took the host's seat and Raven, former "Drag Race" competitor, World of Wonder host, and Ru's personal makeup artist, took Michelle's seat. Cheddar won the episode while Dakota Schiffer was sent home, it being her third time in the bottom.

Answer: Snatch Game Family Edition

In this season's Snatch Game, the six remaining queens split into two teams of two to execute their celebrity impersonations and compete as two feuding families led by Michelle Visage and special guest Katie Price. Pangina, who won the previous episode, got to choose the families, taking Baga Chipz and Jujubee with her on Katie Price's team. The episode was won by Blu who, after playing Austin Powers and Dr. Evil, beat out Baga Chipz in a lip sync to Alexandra Burke's "Let It Go". In a shocking turn, she ended up eliminating frontrunner Pangina Heals who, devastated, left in tears.

Answer: Three

The Top Five continued into the seventh episode of the series with the instruction to create three different looks for the Miss Fugly Beauty Pageant in which they had to hit the runway looking...well...not their best. In addition to producing refined looks, they also had to race against the clock with RuPaul informing the contestants they would have just over an hour to hit the runway in a Fugly Swimwear look, only sixty minutes to shop for items for their Charity Shop Chic looks backstage, and then produce a Fugly But Fashionable option to round out their challenge. Scarlett Harlett was sent home this time during her and Vanity Milan's third trip to the bottom two.

From Quiz "RuPaul's Drag Race UK" - Series 2

Answer: UK Hon

Upon returning to the workroom after their seven month hiatus, the queens were split into two groups (led by Joe Black and Lawrence Chaney) and instructed to make their own name, lyrics, and choreography for a track entitled "UK Hon", which they would be performing on the main stage in the style of a cheesy Eurovision hit. Lawrence's group, 'The United Kingdolls', won the challenge and were safe this week. Their track also headed straight to the Official UK Charts. Joe's group, Bananadrama, failed to get as good a reception and it sent Joe and Tia to the lipsync where Joe was sent home a second time (after only one episode of being back).
