Eric (Jacob Tierney) was only a member of the Midnight Society for the first season. At the end, he left and no explanation was given. Additionally, there was not a replacement once he left. Later in the show's run, it would be customary for an existing member of the Midnight Society to sponsor somebody and have that person be a replacement. Incidentally, Stig (Codie Wilbee) also fits this description. He was only a member for the fifth season and when the sixth season began (three years after the fifth season ended, when most of the cast left the show) no reason was given.

In fact, at least one (and maybe all five) of the friends used the charm and its evil magic. Somebody hid the charm and gave a single clue to each of the five friends, and it was up to the Midnight Society to destroy the Silver Sight once and for all.
