Max works as a nanny for Peach Landis, a stuck up society woman played by Brooke Lyons. Peach has twins named Brad and Angelina. Max worked for Peach throughout most of the first season but was fired in one episode, only to be rehired. By the time the second season premiered, Peach and her twins were written out of the show without explanation. Max is the broke girl who was always broke. By her accounts, her father abandoned her and her mother was an addict. She leads a less sophisticated life than Caroline and is typically less concerned about other people and appearances.

In a later season 1 episode, Max and Caroline house-sit for the couple and look after their dogs.
