The Dutch guilder was the currency of the Netherlands until the introduction of the euro in 2002. It was also the currency of Suriname until 1962 when it was replaced with the Suriname guilder.

The lilangeni is the currency of the Kingdom of Eswatini also known as Swaziland and renamed in 2018. It is divided into 100 cents and was introduced in 1974 with parity to the South African Rand. The currency is controlled by the Central Bank of Eswatini.

The metical is the currency of Mozambique. It replaced the escudo in 1980 and the first metical was replaced by the second metical in 2005 due to inflation that affected its value.

It has is parity with the Indian rupee as the Bhutan economy is dependent on India and the rupee is widely accepted in Bhutan.

The drachma was the currency of Greece prior to the introduction of the euro in 2002 and is one of the oldest known coins. The modern drachma was introduced in 1832 and was divided into 100 lepta. After the second World War, the drachma was replaced in 1944 with new banknotes at a new exchange rate. Coins were discontinued.

In 1953 in an effort to counter inflation, banknotes were replaced again and remained in place until the currency was replaced by the euro.

The official currency of Macau is the Macau pataca and is divided into 100 avos. It has been pegged at an official exchange rate to the Hong Kong dollar since the 1970s. As a result, the Hong Kong dollar is a semi-official second currency in Macau and can be used everywhere.
Banknotes are still printed in both Portuguese and Chinese due to Macau's colonial past.
